Crowne Plaza London Docklands Ticks Every Box

Taking a trip to London for a few days on business, the top priority for us is always finding a great hotel in the perfect location, and Crowne Plaza London Docklands ticks every box.

This stylish hotel in the London Docklands area of the city has good sized rooms with every amenity you need for a great stay, including an indoor pool and a spa to help you relax and destress, and generous desk space to work from. All of which were vital for our own stay.

Only a six-minute walk from the ExCeL London exhibition centre, London City Airport is a 10-minute cab ride from the hotel, the O2 arena is 15 minutes away by the IFS Cloud Cable Car over the Thames; Custom House Elizabeth Line station and Royal Victoria DLR station is only five minutes’ walk away. From there, trains can whisk you to Canary Wharf in 15 minutes or to Bank station in the City in 25 minutes.

It is simply perfect, no matter where you need to be.

The views from the rooms are stunning, we found ourselves staring out of the ceiling to floor windows often, especially at night when everything is illuminated. Watching the cable cars light up the night sky was mesmerising.

Although during our stay, the restaurant was being fully refurbished, directly opposite we discovered a tiny, very authentic, family run Italian restaurant where we enjoyed the best pizza we have had in a long time.

London’s Docklands area was once the world’s largest port, welcoming cargo ships from all over the world. Nowadays, thanks to a vast regeneration programme which began in the 1980s and continues to this day, it has become a vibrant business and residential area with a lovely relaxed riverside vibe.

Our time in London was hectic to say the least, and that super comfy bed was a welcome retreat. We slept so well, our batteries were well and truly charged each morning.

This was our first visit to Crowne Plaza London Docklands, it will not be our last!

Thank you to the team who made us so welcome and especially for pointing us in the direction of that Italian restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble.

We’ll be seeing you again very soon.
