Amazing Snowfall Slumber Spa Experience

If you’re looking to relax in the most beautiful of surroundings, enjoy a leisurely swim, sip a cocktail alongside afternoon tea, and have a luxurious massage, then you’re in the right place.

The Limited-Edition Snowfall Slumber Spa Experience at The Manor House Hotel in Alsegar is currently running, and includes all of the above and more. I visited with my best friends, and the five of us had the most wonderful day in The Spa Garden.

Our spa experience started at 10am when we arrived and checked in to the spa reception, where we received our itinerary for the day. Firstly, we were each given a complimentary branded hessian tote bag and cute branded flip flops, which we could take home. Secondly the itinerary showcased timings for our 60-minute Snowfall Slumber Full Body Massage Ritual. Thirdly, it included the time for our Afternoon Tea, the time for our Salt Shed session, and a map of the spa facilities.

We took our new totes and headed to the changing rooms where we donned our swimming costumes and went for a look around. I have previously stayed at The Manor House Hotel overnight and had a couple of hours in The Spa Garden, so I already knew it was going to be a good day.

This particular spa experience includes 7-hours in the spa, which can be spent within The Spa Garden, the indoor Serenity Swimming Pool, and the Pool House. The Spa Garden plays host to plenty of unique, bespoke places to explore. There’s the Swim-up Bar, which is surrounded by a Vitality Pool, at a temperature of 38c bubbling with hydrotherapy jets. Furthermore, there is the brand new Alpine-esque Woodshed, complete with sofas, blankets, woodburning fire, and heaters. Next to the swim-up Bar are a number of Hanging Day Beds, fitted with overhead heaters, blankets, and pillows to lounge and relax.

When you explore further you find hidden gems like the Summer House Relaxation Room with individual pods to lay back and watch the wildlife outside. Plus, there’s even headphones and a QR code to scan which take you to a relaxing meditation.

Back outside, and the Sunken Hydrotherapy Tub is located at the bottom of The Spa Garden, surrounded by more Hanging Day Beds. This is the perfect place to get away from everything and enjoy some quiet time.

Walking around the spa and you’re not far from something calming, like the Panoramic Pavilion, Potting Shed Herbal Sauna, and Salt Steam Chamber. So, whether you’re looking for warming sauna-style chalets, or views of the countryside, these are the rooms to visit. Moreover, you will even find a Cold-Water Therapy Tub, and Cold-Water Shower Experience (which none of us used as it was already freezing cold outside in mid-January)!

The list goes on, and once inside the spa you’ll find the indoor Serenity Pool, which also has a hanging day bed above the pool. Equally, there are a couple of facilities poolside for use including an Aromatherapy Steam Room and Finnish Sauna. Not forgetting, there are 6 treatment rooms for any pre-booked treatments you may have.

Even though we split up and enjoyed different rooms at different times I don’t think we managed to use everything on offer. We spent too much time chatting at the swim-up bar, lounging on the indoor hanging bed, and in each of our respective treatment rooms!

However, we did enjoy a leisurely Afternoon Tea in the Pool House together. The Pool House was buzzing with guests drinking cocktails, champagne and hot chocolate. The Afternoon Tea had an excellent selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, cakes, and tarts, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The team that looked after us were amazing from start to finish, they even managed to organise a last-minute vegetarian selection of sandwiches, which I had forgotten to book in advance.

In addition, we had a choice at our Snowfall Slumber Massage Ritual. We could either have a full body massage as pre-booked, or incorporate a half-body massage with an acupuncture-style foot treatment. This was a great thing to offer, because everyone has different needs when it comes to a personal massage.

Each guest that books the Snowfall Slumber Spa Experience leaves with a gift, and we were no exception. We each left with something from the Temple Spa collection of products. I received a Toning Essence Essential Mist Tonic.

Salt Shed Snowfall Slumber Spa Experience

Finally, we ended our day in the Salt Shed, a short walk away from the main spa area. The 30-minute Salt Shed Experience incorporates a Finnish-style heated shed. It seats up to six people, to relax and enjoy a private a guided meditation. Guests are sat in front of a large salt quartz wall and heated coals. A wonderful way to end the day at 5pm.

The Limited-Edition Snowfall Slumber Spa Experience at Manor House Hotel won’t be available much longer, so book now. It is priced at £180 per person. New full-day experiences are launched regularly within the spa, so keep your eyes peeled for the next one.
