FIRE & ICE BRINGS UK FIRST CONTRAST THERAPY DESTINATION TO YORKSHIRE – A new Yorkshire wellness destination with a difference has opened in Yorkshire.
Fire & Ice is located within purpose-built premises near Ilkley and is believed to be the UK’s first and only destination to offer a combination of cryotherapy, ozone sauna and thermotherapy under one roof.
It features the very latest technology and equipment in the field of contrast therapy, which involves exposing the body to a contrast of temperatures.
Treatments are combined in rotation to reset, restore and rejuvenate the human body’s immune, circulatory, lymphatic and musculoskeletal systems for optimal wellness.
Contrast therapy dates back millennia and was used by the ancient Romans who built bath houses featuring steam rooms, hot tubs and cold baths. Today’s advocates include Hollywood A-listers Jennifer Aniston, Lady Gaga and Gwyneth Paltrow whilst elite male and female athletes use contrast therapy to aid recovery.
Fire & Ice has been created by Yorkshire businesswoman, Claire Greenwood, who after hitting the reset button to focus on her own personal wellbeing a few years ago, decided to build a business that would help other people.
Commenting on the launch, Claire said: “After experiencing a number of turbulent years both personally and professionally, I started researching what the best therapies in the world to help revitalise and restore both body and mind.
I began trying a lot of these treatments for myself and the difference they made to me was incredible. It was at that point I realised I wanted to create a sanctuary where people can take time away from life’s worries and be good to themselves by experiencing the treatments that have worked so well for me.
The result is Fire & Ice which I believe is the first and only wellness destination in the UK to offer the range of therapies that we do in one place.”
The treatments offered by Fire & Ice include tailored packages ranging from four to 16 weeks which are created following a one-to-one consultation with Claire. These provide a range of benefits including improving sleep, weight management and relieving chronic tension.
In addition to its contrast therapy packages, Fire & Ice also offers single bookings for all its treatments which are personalised to the individual and their wellbeing objectives. Treatment prices start at £80. Bookings for treatments at Fire & Ice can be made online. To find out more, or to book an appointment, visit www.thisisfireandice.co.uk
