Expanding the Unusable Space in Your Kitchen

Kitchens’ are often the one room in the house where no matter how much space you have, you could always do with a little more. Most of us have had experiences where our pots and pans have been placed all over the shop, perhaps in preparation for a large festive meal, perhaps because you’re trying to get to grips with a new cuisine, or maybe you’re trying baking for the first time in a while.

This is not to mention the growing number of appliances we can fill our kitchen’s with, from coffee machines, toasters, mini ovens, air fryers, slow cookers, blenders, convection hot plates, and more. Especially a lid holder and modular trivet for savvy cooks.

For this reason, expanding the usable space in our kitchen is not only a worthwhile effort to make sure its aesthetic and utility is improved, but to better organize our cooking tasks, creating wonderful recipes as a matter of consequence.

Thankfully, this renovative effort can bear much fruit if you’re careful about how you utilize your design. In this post, we’ll discuss how to achieve all of that and more:

Corner Cupboards

Kitchen

Corner cupboards, as in, cupboards that have been installed at a diagonal point where two corner points meet, can provide you with extra storage space which is perfect for spices and other packaged goods. Not all kitchens can utilize these, but if renovating your space then it’s worth considering the utility of such a design and what it may offer your kitchen. You may be surprised at how versatile this installation can be, and how much room it may give you in an otherwise tight space. With the best replacement kitchen doors, you can make sure that the style is in keeping with the rest of the new design.

Neat Fixtures

Kitchen

Neat fixtures, such as an installed spice rack, a wire holder for keeping eggs, and hooks underneath your cabinets to hold mugs can be a great way to incorporate storage into the visual design of your kitchen. Often, with these kinds of implements, all you need is a simple kitchen design motif to add a sense of visual texture, without having to distress cabinets or  opt for decorative tyle to add more to the space. In other words, this is a great way to get started with kitchen design.

Shelving Units

Shelving units can allow you store mason jars filled with ingredients, tubs, and other utilities that you may need access to. But they can also serve as a great way to enhance the visual appeal of your kitchen. For instance, an upright book holder on a kitchen shelf can be used to give you access to the recipe without having to open a full book on your kitchen table or cabinet, giving you much more room to work with. A radio or home assistant placed here can give you more room compared to taking up said space, too. All in all, save the inches, and you save the overall utility of your kitchen for good.

With this advice, you’ll be in a prime position to do exactly that, and achieve a wonderful aesthetic motif on top of that.
