Tony, owner of Idle Travel is delighted to announce that once again, the world is your oyster in 2022 and beyond!
We have all missed out on special occasions and celebrations and when part of those celebrations is to take that ‘trip of a lifetime’, there’s a lot to catch up on. Honeymoons, weddings abroad, special birthdays and anniversaries and long-awaited retirement trips, the list is endless. It’s time to re-look at your ‘bucket list’ of once in a lifetime travel experiences.
Here are four of the top destinations to consider.
The Maldives – Experience an idyllic island escape in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean by staying in a water villa. Water villas are more romantic than a beach villa due to their privacy and you have direct access to the sea, which makes it easy to do your snorkelling. Some villas even have a glass panel floor which gives you a spectacular view of colourful fishes and stingrays below your feet. You have world class restaurants and service, never ending watersports, spas and wellness facilities, all set against a backdrop of exquisite scenery. In the Maldives you will have many magical moments and make unforgettable memories.
Thailand – Thai culture is generous, warm, refreshing and relaxed. Outside the cluttered cities and towns lies Thailand’s rural heartland, a mix of rice paddies, tropical forests and villages. In the north, the forests and fields have a backdrop of mountains, waterfalls and caves. In the south, craggy limestone cliffs poke out of the landscape or emerge dramatically out of the turquoise sea. Highly recommended by Tony is Elephant Hills, Thailand’s first luxury tented jungle camps which include award-winning nature adventure tours. This is a 4-star jungle adventure!
Canada – Let’s face it, Canada is beautiful and famously so. From the thundering waters of Niagra Falls to the rugged peaks of The Rocky Mountains, this is a country brimming with natural beauty. A ‘must visit’ is Banff National Park, famous for its surreal coloured lakes, majestic mountains and endless outdoor adventures. Or maybe Jasper, home to Mount Columbia, Alberta’s tallest mountain; Maligne Lake, the second-largest glacial-fed lake in the world; and diverse wildlife including grizzly and black bears. Canada is perfect for adventurers!
USA – Where do we start? If you visited America for the next 10 years, you would still have a list of places to go. There are so many states and so many experiences, in fact this is a country with something for everyone. The best shopping, Broadway performances and fine dining restaurants can be found in New York. Orlando is a playground for families, with more than a dozen theme parks, entertainment theatres, iconic skyscrapers, shopping malls and parks. What about a road trip along the West Coast where you can visit the infamous ‘Route 66’. This is a long journey so plan your route and where you want to visit as you are spoilt for choice with Seattle Harbour, Cannon Beach, San Francisco and Redwood National Park amongst the many places en-route to tempt you.
