At WTM London 2026, Spring Hotels unveiled its plans for an extensive renovation of Cleopatra Palace, alongside a new Family Suites concept and improved children’s facilities at Mediterranean Palace.

The developments follow Spring Hotels acquisition of Cleopatra Palace, Mediterranean Palace and Sir Anthony Hotel in 2025, as the group continues to invest in its growing Tenerife portfolio.

Cleopatra Palace: A new chapter of luxury designed for every mood

Located on Tenerife’s Golden Mile, Cleopatra Palace’s ambitious renovation will see the property transformed into a luxury  design-focused property, boasting five-star service, high-end wellness and recovery facilities; beach club vibes; social experiences; lifestyle immersions and family fun.

Wellness and recovery will be a major focus, with plans for a swimming pools, what is expected to be Tenerife’s largest gym, hyperbaric chambers and specialist recovery facilities. The wellness offering will also include yoga, sound baths and spa experiences.

For guests looking for a more social atmosphere, the hotel will introduce beach club experiences, a rooftop terrace, premium dining and a programme of poolside and sunset events.

Dedicated spaces, access to Club Mare and activities for different age groups, including wellbeing experiences designed specifically for teenagers, elevate quality family time and cater to multi-generational moments..

The renovation will complement Spring Hotels’ wider meetings and events offering, which includes the Pirámide de Arona auditorium, accommodating up to 1,600 delegates.

Mediterranean Palace: More room for families at lower prices

Spring Hotels also announced plans to introduce a new Family Suites concept at Mediterranean Palace, offering families more space, privacy and flexibility when travelling together.

The suites will combine two connecting rooms into a single booking, providing two bedrooms and two bathrooms at a lower cost than booking two rooms separately.

Further elevating family fun at the hotel, the existing volleyball court will be transformed into a brand-new Splash Zone – similar to the Bitacora – bringing a host of new slides and water-based fun.

Plans also include transforming the hotel’s existing volleyball court into a dedicated children’s activity zone, inspired by the adventure facilities at Spring Hotel Bitácora.

Age-tailored children’s amenity kits will also be introduced, adding more personalised touches for families staying at the hotel.

“It’s been a strong year for Spring Hotels, and the response from guests and our trade partners since we added Cleopatra Palace, Mediterranean Palace and Sir Anthony Hotel to our portfolio has been really encouraging. Tenerife has always been at the heart of Spring Hotels, and we’re proud to be investing in the future of these properties.

“With Cleopatra Palace, we have an opportunity to create something quite different, with a five-star experience that is designed for every mood and centred around wellness, recovery and lifestyle. At Mediterranean Palace, we’re focusing on what matters most to families, providing additional space and more opportunities for quality time together.

“WTM was a great opportunity to share these plans with our trade partners, and we’re looking forward to unveiling the brand new offerings.”
