Reasons Why Caravanning is a Great Holiday Choice

If you have never been on a caravanning holiday before then, you do not know how much fun it can be. You get to be a little bit wild and free while still having a few creature comforts for one. If you have children, too, then caravanning could be the answer to your prayers.

It can be far easier to organise a holiday with kids going away to a campsite rather than having to navigate the maze of flights, connecting buses, etc., all with children. A caravan can offer you a great adventure and all you have to do is get in your car. So, let’s discover a few reasons why caravanning is a great holiday choice.

The Campsite

Instead of a hotel, you will be booking a campsite. Campsites have all the same amenities as a hotel, but you get the privacy of your caravan with all your little titbits to live in. The caravan hooks up to the main electric supply, and you will get WiFi too. You can use their showers and toilets if you need to as well. Campsites may have more activities going on than a hotel, especially if you choose one that is especially an adventure campsite. If you want a canoeing holiday then you can choose a site near the lake, a scuba diving holiday then go near the sea, if hiking is your thing, then you can choose a campsite that specialises in this. All you need to do is investigate and discover the right campsite for you.

Pets

If you are looking for a pet-friendly holiday, then this is one of the best options. Your pet will be staying in your caravan with you. Although you may have to check the campsite rules, in most cases, you will be allowed to take your dog or cat with you. However, if you have a barker, then you may need to double-check the park etiquette. Being able to take your pet with you saves you all the hassle of finding a kennel or someone to feed the cat. It sets your mind at ease as you have your fur baby with you too. It also makes your holiday better too. Your hikes will be more enjoyable with our dog.

All the Family Can Enjoy it

Everyone can enjoy a caravanning holiday. It is great for kids. They get that sense that things are very different. You can have the feel of camping with a campsite stove and fire, but it makes it far easier to sleep in the caravan beds. This is especially true of it starts raining. If you are camping and it starts raining, it can be a bit of a nightmare. You guys will love it as you are away somewhere scenic and benefiting from getting all that fresh air. There are plenty of different campsites to go to as well. It all depends on the type of adventures that you want to enjoy. Another thing is that your pets will love it too. It is a win-win for all involved.

You Have Your Car

The great thing about a caravan, as opposed to travelling in a motorhome or going on a trip via a plane, is that you will have your car. This means you can unhook from the caravan and head into the nearest town or city and have some fabulous days out without the hassle of getting public transport or hiring a car. Often campsites are located in rural spaces, so a car is much needed and something you won’t have with a motorhome or campervan. When you go away from your caravan, you can even protect it with caravan covers. This is a great tip for when you have the caravan sat at home too. A cover protects it from the elements and other nasties. If you are going to be away from the caravan for a day or so, it may be worthwhile covering it, as you won’t be there to wipe off all the acidic bird poop until that night.

The Expense

Because you are providing the sleeping rooms, caravanning is generally a lot cheaper than a hotel. You will still be able to use campsite facilities, such as showers etc., as you would at a hotel but at a lower price. Another thing you’ll get cheaper is the food. As you have a fridge in the caravan, you can go shopping beforehand and cook on-site. You won’t have to rely on restaurants and cafes for the entire trip.
