On our recent trip to discover more about the amazing city of Liverpool, we stayed at different hotels to get a feel for different options available.
The second hotel we stayed at was INNSIDE Liverpool by Melia. We loved the British style, contemporary architecture and Spanish hospitality, which all combine to perfection in this city hotel in the heart of downtown Liverpool.
Lively Castle Street and Liverpool Town Hall are just a stone’s throw from the hotel and the refined design, services and facilities in the INNSIDE Liverpool hotel reflect all the energy and vitality of this dynamic city.

When you enter, you get your first Insta moment! There’s a huge deckchair to capture a memory of your visit.

Check in was busy! This is a popular hotel and there are quite a few reasons for that.
The location – absolutely. The views from the room and Gino D’Acampo 360 Sky Bar on the top floor – definitely. Gino D’Acampo Restaurant on the ground floor – of course. But all of these things combined with great rooms and service have created the perfect city centre hotel for business and leisure travellers.
INNSiDE Liverpool is located in the old Post & Echo Building, and thanks to its proximity to attractions such as the Liver Building and the iconic Albert Docks, discovering this vibrant city is, well, really easy.
Our Room

We stayed in a Studio Room with an unbelievable city view, this was an open plan room with a superb comfy king sized bed, an area to work and a generous shower. Everything was included in this room to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable – even a coffee machine and a yoga mat! Ok the yoga mat didn’t see any action, but that coffee machine certainly did!
Gino D’Acampo 360 Sky Bar

A place that is destined to become one of the top bars in the whole of Liverpool. Discover unparalleled views and savour a great choice of wines, cocktails and “cicchetti” snacks. This is somewhere you will be tempted to stay for hours, sipping on your favourite cocktail whilst soaking in those 360 views. Exactly what we did!
Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street

The third restaurant in partnership with hotel giant Meliã, is Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street. Boasting a beautiful modern open plan restaurant with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Old Hall Street.
Don’t even think about leaving the hotel to find a restaurant because you won’t find anywhere better than Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street. This is a stylish restaurant giving authentic Italian vibes with a charismatic, engaging team and delicious food.
Having eaten at Gino D’Acampo Leeds, our expectations were high. They were met!
Here’s what we ate
Starters: Carpaccio – thinly sliced beef fillet with Venetian dressing. A firm favourite this one and a dish one of us always chooses when on the menu. This didn’t disappoint with its full gamey flavour. Our second starter was Salmon and Avocado Tartare – pane carasau, beautifully fresh and light, the perfect appetizer. We were off to a great start.

For main course it had to be Grilled Lamb Cutlets – crispy pancetta, olives, honey, lemon and rosemary. If you like lamb, you will love this dish. Tender cutlets balanced beautifully with the sweetness of the honey and the delicate fragrance of rosemary. A real winner and again, quite a light dish, leaving space for that all important dessert.
Our second main course was a robust Slow Cooked Beef – braised beef in red wine served with a toasted ciabatta. A warming, filling, perfect winter stew with big, bold flavours. We had Roast New Potatoes and Tenderstem Broccoli on the side.

So, when it comes to dessert at Gino’s, we always love to finish a meal with Affogato. This Italian coffee-based dessert is made with just three ingredients — espresso, gelato, and a shot of liqueur, and it’s pure perfection in its simplicity.
It’s easy to see why INNSIDE Liverpool by Melia is so popular. They have the perfect formula and we will certainly be back.
