British Airways Increases Dedicated Capacity to Saint Lucia

British Airways customers flying to and from Saint Lucia to London will have more seat capacity for winter 2026/2027.

From 25th October 2026, the direct daily service from London Gatwick will fly to Saint Lucia only, as the current second drops to Grenada, Guyana and Tobago move to another British Airways route. This change will provide an additional 51,000 seats in both directions for the winter season at a time when demand is at a peak, with UK travellers escaping the winter months. The flights will also depart from Gatwick a little later in the day, which will mean better connectivity from European markets including France and Germany.

Louis Lewis, CEO of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority said: “We know that our British visitors love coming to Saint Lucia for some winter warmth so the increase in seats for our peak season is very welcome. To add to that, from the end of this year onwards, we’ll start to see an increase in our accommodation capacity including new resorts and renovated rooms. The UK remains our second biggest source market and we thank British Airways for such a productive partnership and look forward to welcoming more passengers from the UK.”

British Airways currently flies daily to Saint Lucia* and is the island’s longest serving airline from the UK. With its first service on July 20, 1971, British Airways has been connecting friends and families to and from Saint Lucia and the UK for 55 years.

Saint Lucia, the only country in the world named after a woman, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture. Situated in the Eastern Caribbean Sea, the island is famed for its lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and the iconic Pitons – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore the island’s rich history and popular festivals, such as the Gros Islet Friday Night Street Party, Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival, Lucian Carnival, and Creole Heritage Month. Signature activities include the mud baths at Sulphur Springs Park, ziplining through the rainforest and chocolate making.

*The summer schedule is six days a week (no Wednesday flight).
