When You Go Out For Pizza And It Happens To Be The Best Pizza You Ever Tasted

When you head out for dinner, do you always know what you want to eat? If we're out and about then it's got to be pizza. It's a no-brainer, pizza all the way.

We’ve all had a really good pizza from somewhere in the past, but have you ever had a pizza that you lost your mind over because it was simply the best you’ve ever tasted? Well, our reviewer Rachel McAlley has, and she’s telling anyone and everyone who’s listening.

Firstly, remember these two simple words: Pizza and Luxe. Secondly, these two words are likely to make you want pizza for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Thirdly, PizzaLuxe is beyond the traditional, it is everything and more. Finally, PizzaLuxe is going to be your new favourite pizza joint!

Pizza Luxe

I went to the Manchester Arndale PizzaLuxe, nestled in the heart of the city centre, bang in the middle of the shopping centre. It’s a great location, easy to find, and fully under cover. So, there’s no excuse not to visit.

Pizza Luxe

The restaurant serves brunch through to dinner, and the bar is stacked with some exceptionally priced cocktails and aperitivo drinks. My visit was on a busy Friday evening straight after work, and the city was buzzing with weekend revellers.

My guest and I opted for Pane all’Aglio and Bufala e Pomodoro to start. The Bufala e Pomodoro was insanely tasty, the mozzarella was the creamiest I’ve ever had without it being a full on burrata. And the tomato pesto was so flavoursome I almost cried with how good it was.

One of the main pizzas we chose was a 10” La Margherita; because if a pizza restaurant can’t wow with a basic cheese and tomato then there’s no point in dining there. Did it wow, oh indeed it did. It was a super thin-crust sourdough, and the cherry tomato, sun-dried tomato, fresh basil and oregano enriched the flavour from the cheese. It was so good I asked for the secret recipe for the dough!

Our second pizza was another relatively classic choice. The 13” Funghi could have easily served two, but I managed most of it by myself (NB. I was stuffed to bursting). The topping was a total luxe mix of flat mushrooms, balsamic onions, and flat-leaf parsley. All of these ingredients gently caressed the bubbling mozzarella, which left a heavenly taste in the mouth. Both pizzas were cooked to perfection, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Okay, so would I ever go to PizzaLuxe again, 100% YES of course I would, it was perfect in every possible way. So much so, that I’m planning on visiting one of their sister restaurants in Leeds very soon. There are PizzaLuxe restaurants in Manchester Arndale, Manchester Airport, Leeds Trinity, Peterborough, and coming soon is their brand new Cambridge restaurant.

Did we get the secret recipe for the dough? Nope, we did not – but we intend to on our next visit, even if we have to taste test every single pizza on the menu!

Starters are priced from £2.50 – £6.95, and pizzas are priced from £5.50 – £10.95. Visit PizzaLuxe for menus and more, you won’t be disappointed.
