Disney on Ice is Pure Magic

On the weekend if my 30th birthday, what more could a women want other than being transported back to her childhood for the magical spectacular which is Disney On Ice.

Disney on Ice

I most definitely ‘Wanted To Build A Snowman’ after possibly the most enchanting two hours of my life. Disney on Ice at First Direct Arena, Leeds, was big, bold and fabulous.

The glittering costumes worn by the internationally renowned ice skaters taking on the roles of all your favourite Disney characters, were rivalled by the hundreds of adoring mini fans in the audience waiting in anticipation to see a glimpse of their favourite Disney princesses, it was heart-warming to see and oh what I wouldn’t give to be able to dress up in a Belle costume and fully embrace the magic that Disney brings

The show is perfect for all ages, I took my young stepson Theo, who thought he was too cool to go along with his step mum, but believe me by the time ‘Coco’ came on stage he was cheering along and dancing with the rest of the arena, all anticipating which character would make an appearance next.

The supersonic dancers glide over the ice and dazzling fire, flurries of snowflakes, rivers of flame, beautiful bubbles and twinkling fairy lights all cast their magical spell over the Sunday evening sell-out audience, no page has been left unturned for this mesmerising spectacle.

Personally I think the real crowd pleasing moment was when Disney icons Mickey And Minnie Mouse took to the rink, I saw magic through the eyes of children, the applause and screams were rapturous and everyone, no matter what their age was really having the time of their life .

Disney on Ice

With the West Yorkshire weather set to turn to snow later this week I can’t help but think the ‘Frozen’ segment of the show has left its mark and sent some snow our way, let’s just hope Queen Elsa hasn’t cast her spell for an eternal winter!

Disney On Ice has left a print on my heart and I have been singing along to the songs every day since watching the show. It was a feelgood whirlwind 90 minutes for your eyes, ears and heart. The show transports you back to your childhood dreams full of imagination.

After all a dream is a wish your heart makes.
