A good skincare routine is the foundation of every beauty regime and here at H&N we love to take care of our skin.
I like to keep my eyes peeled for new, cruelty-free skincare products to try, and I’m always on the lookout for businesses who work hard to operate a sustainable, eco-friendly model. Which is why I was absolutely delighted when the team at Ringana asked me to try out their award-winning skincare products.
The RINGANA story began in Austria in 1996 out of the deep convictions, values and unstoppable energy of two people who wanted to make the world a better place.
The catalyst to their start-up was a toothpaste that their son brought home with him from kindergarten. Ulla Wannemacher and Andreas Wilfinger were shocked by so many of the ingredients in the toothpaste and it made them realise that they didn’t want their son exposed to them. This opened their eyes to the other questionable ingredients and chemicals in most skin care products too. They knew that something had to change, and with that, their visionary business idea was born – fresh and effective skin care, manufactured entirely without unnatural, unnecessary ingredients.
It has been an amazing Austrian success story. All Ringana products across the range are vegan, free of synthetic colours, perfumes and preservatives, mineral oils, parabens, PEG emulsifiers, etc. Everything is dermatologically tested and very well tolerated by all skin types.
I elected to try the FRESH skincare range in ‘Rich’, my skin is quite dry, and this seemed the perfect match as it’s full of nourishing seed oils and plant extracts. After cleansing, toning, applying serum and the rich cream moisturiser for a week, I definitely noticed a change in my skin. The moisturiser in particular felt heavenly soft as I applied it and left my skin feeling and looking beautifully hydrated for the rest of the day. There are no added perfumes, but the scent of the plant oils is light and appealing.
The whole range is a big hit with me!
The FRESH skincare set comprises FRESH cleanser (125 ml), FRESH tonic (125 ml), FRESH anti-wrinkle serum (30 ml), FRESH cream (50 ml) and as a little treat in the package each box contains a lovely organic cotton hand towel too! I think the Rich range is great for dry or combinations skin as you can really feel the oils. If you prefer something lighter the same range is available in Medium and Light variations, still with the same standard of fresh, no nonsense, natural ingredients. The pure, preservative-free nature of these products mean that they have a shelf life – mine arrived with a good six months, which I feel is plenty, I can’t stop using them!
