If you had suggested a ‘fitness weekend’ away to me five years ago, I would have given you the biggest eye roll ever! However, nowadays with the two-day hangovers and limited time in the week to get my fitness sessions done, the thought of going home feeling better than when I arrived does have a certain appeal to it.
I also like the idea of having a bit of balance thrown in! Especially on a girls trip in London. So, as opposed to a full-on Wellness Retreat, you get a little bit of everything. Cocktails, sightseeing, gym, fitness class, spa treatments, bottomless brunch and you don’t even have to leave your hotel!
Rowbots have teamed up with the Andaz Hotel in Liverpool Street, London with an awesome new concept. On Saturday mornings they hold their group workout sessions ‘Capacity Club’ in the Grade II Listed Ballroom at the hotel.

They move the machines, dumbbells and live DJ in and the team run a circuits style, group workout session. Their ethos is community and pairing up with people you don’t know is encouraged.
Quite honestly, I was terrified, but once it all got underway there were so many people that it took away the pressure of having to perform. The design of the circuits meant everybody got a fair go on the machines and I have not had a calorie burn like that in a long time. There was a great collective energy and I left feeling like I had overcome a fear and achieved something.

For those really wanting to double down on the fitness side of things, the Andaz Hotel has the most amazing gym situated in an old Egyptian temple underneath the hotel. You can book a session with their on-site Personal Trainer or use at your leisure. I was so impressed with the number of machines and size of it.
Equally, if one class is enough, they also hold a Bottomless Brunch straight afterwards serving everything from healthy egg white omelettes to your dirty burgers and there is a range of Spritz style drinks for the bottomless girlies.

The Andaz is part of the Hyatt Group and the customer service was fabulous from being welcomed with a glass of prosecco, to the beautiful cotton gowns and complimentary mini bar, the attention to detail was there.
This break to London ticks a lot of boxes and will leave you feeling fantastic.
