One remarkable ingredient backstory is the Myrrh oil which Green People sources exclusively from the Himba Tribe in Namibia. Myrrh survives in extremely arid conditions. Collected by the female members of the Himba Tribe in Namibia (Africa) and sold as their only source of income. It takes one woman 4hrs to collect 1kg of Myrrh gum hidden amongst the thorns of the Commiphora tree. Green People has sourced fairly traded Myrrh resin exclusively from the Himba Tribe for over 10 years, helping to support an ancient way of life that is under threat.
