Takeaway favourite, definitely one for a Sunday night after a few beers. Chinese crispy chilli beef from Callum Jones from Love Island. This literally takes a few minutes to prep but is big on flavour with a nice kick from those chillis.

Ingredients
- 250g sirloin steak
- 3tbsp cornflour
- 1tbsp Chinese five spice
- 1 red pepper
- 4 white ends of spring onion
- 2 cloves garlic sliced in lengths
- 1 thumb piece of ginger sliced in lengths
- 1 red chilli
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 2.5 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
- 120ml vegetable oil
Method
- Thinly slice your beef into strips.
- Mix your cornflour and five spice together and add in your beef to coat it in the flour.
- Thinly slice your red pepper.
- Then chop garlic ginger into matchsticks and chop spring onions finely as well as the chilli.
- For your sauce, mix together the rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and sweet chilli sauce.
- In a wok or pan add in your oil and shallow fry your beef until crispy. Remove and drain.
- In a separate pan add in your peppers and sauté for a couple of minutes then add in your garlic, ginger, chilli and onion and fry for another couple of minutes.
- Throw in your beef and then your sauce and toss to coat.
