I was eager to put Luciano to the test and I was recently invited to visit Luciano by Gino D’Acampo while in London. Here’s what I thought.
Luciano by Gino D’Acampo is a luxury contemporary Italian restaurant serving food throughout the day, making it the perfect place to go for pre-theatre dinner and drinks.
On a busy Friday night, we arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by the lovely team who were really warm and welcoming. As we were escorted to our table, I couldn’t help but notice the grand decor inside the restaurant and there was DJ inside the restaurant which really added to the atmosphere.
We sat down and checked out the menu, a mixture of authentic Italian dishes with plenty of choices and something for every taste. Whilst deciding on our starters we ordered some cocktails. I was actually feeling thirsty, so the waiter recommended I order the Huge Spritz which was really refreshing and great after a warm day in London. Great recommendation.
To start, I ordered bruschetta and the best tasting oysters I’ve had in a long time.
For mains we both ordered the Fillet Steak with Nduja butter which gave the steak a lovely spicy kick. The steaks were perfectly cooked and served with garlic and rosemary potatoes which were really tasty and complemented the steak beautifully. I also ordered an extra side of spinach with chili and garlic.

We were feeling full but decided to order deserts as I’m a sucker for anything sweet. I recommend ordering Panna Cotta for dessert which consists of Amaretto, strawberries, and honeycomb. My guest also ordered the Bomboloni dessert dish which is Italian donuts served with raspberry and white sauce. Decadent and delicious!
Overall, I loved the place, the food and service are great, the surrounding beautiful and all the staff were attentive on just the right level.
I can’t wait to visit again soon. Make sure you visit Luciano by Gino D’Acampo the next time you are in London.
