Ross-on-Wye in Herefordshire is a quaint little town with lots of independent cafes and shops and a thriving high street.
We stayed at White House Glamping, a great place to be based in order to explore surrounding towns or for visiting Wales.
The glamping site itself is only a short drive from Ross-on-Wye. The tipis are set amongst an orchard field of pretty apple trees, where guests can help themselves to the apples. Each tipi is privately located with it’s own car parking space outside the tent and a wooden bench table and fire pit.

Inside the tipis guest will find a double bed made of pallets, a couple of single beds, fridge, bedding and towels. There is also the option to hire a complimentary cinema in the form of a white sheet, projector, speaker, and selection of films. Equally there’s a heater for the colder nights and plenty of blankets if needed.
The on-site facilities are really good, especially the shower and toilet room as the shower is super hot. There’s a shared covered pergola to dine under if guests don’t want to eat outside their own tipi.
For an extra price a pizza oven and gas can be hired along with all the necessary pizza oven tools. Furthermore wood is also for sale for the fire pits. Moreover, there is an indoor kitchen area, with complimentary camping cooking tools for all to use. There are pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and cups available for everyone to share. Basically, glampers simply turn up with clothes and food and everything else is provided for them.

Within the White House Farm site there are play areas for the kids, local walks, and a secret beach next to the river. Local companies supply canoeing lessons, paddle boarding, and river fishing all at White House Farm.
For more information visit White House on Wye. Lead in price for White House Glamping is £129 per night sleeping up to 5 per tipi.
