Wainwright’s Coast-to-Coast Walk

The Yorkshire Dales Wainwright's walks

Cross England from coast to coast passing through three National Parks. The Coast to Coast is one of the world’s great walks! Alfred Wainwright, famous for his pictorial guides to The Lakeland Fells, stitched together two coasts, three national parks and 200 miles of footpath to create the ultimate long distance walk in England. Tradition dictates you should pick up a pebble and dip your toe in the Irish sea before making your way through the dramatic fells of the English Lake District, into the tranquil dales and valleys of Yorkshire, and through the wild North York Moors, to finally dip your toe in the North Sea at the other end.

Ingleton Waterfalls Trail

The Yorkshire Dales Ingleton Waterfall Trail

The four and a half mile Ingleton Waterfalls Trail boasts some of the most spectacular waterfall and oak woodland scenery in the UK, truly encapsulating nature at its best.

With rare and interesting plants and wildlife and its importance as a geological site, much of the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest by Natural England. A strenuous walk, the trail follows a well defined footpath which rises to 300m above sea level at the highest point.

Settle Round

The small market town of Settle nestles in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. Follow the story of Settle’s development by exploring the town and its surroundings. Begin by climbing to the Craven Fault to a former coral reef and a cave used by prehistoric animals. Discover how the stone walls that cover the hillsides reveal centuries of different farming methods.
