Righ Residences: The Ultimate Backdrop to Your Visit to Edinburgh

Have you ever tried to live like a local on your mini break? My recent stay at luxe serviced apartments Righ Residences let me do just that and experience Edinburgh as if I lived there!

Offering a stylish, comfortable place to stay for the modern traveller, Righ Residences is ideal for your visit to Scotland’s historic capital. Set in a prime location on George Street, these luxurious apartments and studios have all of Edinburgh’s desired hot spots just steps away. The castle is less than 15 mins walk and can even be seen from the penthouse suites.

Other nearby attractions include The Royal Botanic Gardens plus Princes Street, St Andrew’s Square and Multrees Walk, all close by for shopping, bars and restaurants. I found it so easy to get around and loved heading back after a full day of mooching around the city.

Each apartment offers all the home comforts you expect and all to the highest quality (because we all deserve the best when on a staycation!). With fully equipped kitchenette, a dining table and chairs, massive beds dressed in crisp white linens and a bathroom with heated floors, every element in the residences has been meticulously designed.

The 25 residences within this listed Edwardian building range from studio’s to penthouse. I was impressed by the high ceilings throughout and adored the cornicing detail all round, which wasn’t expected in such a refurbished and modern space.

It’s extremely private despite its central location and self-service check in is seamless. These unique residences have been designed with comfort and convenience in mind. If you did need any assistance during your stay, there is a dedicated guest services team on hand. The in-room tablets with room controls also feature an online chat connecting you to the team who are very helpful with requests and luckily, they organised me a later check out which let me savour every minute of my last morning!

Serviced apartments are such great value for money for stays longer than 1-2 nights. I was able to unpack and hide my suitcase for a few days. I’m always guilty of half unpacking and hate having my case in view as it just reminds me I have to pack up and leave soon!

Thoughtful amenities are left for your use in your room such as milk, water, shortbread biscuits and of course Irn Bru! (I did try one but the orange drink is just not for me). Cooking is easy on the hobs and after using all the pots and pans, you will love to hear that there is a dishwasher!

With all the latest technology, including smart TV’s in each apartment, you can log into your fave app, watch Sky TV or use the Chromecast function so you don’t miss out on any trending shows. You are even left fluffy robes and slippers which were perfect for getting all snuggly in.

Bathrooms are kitted out with monsoon showers and taps by Booth and Co as well as complimentary ESPA products left for your use. Every time I opened the door to my bathroom, it felt like walking into a spa with the beautiful fragrance from the ESPA diffuser. For us ladies, there are even Cloud Nine hair dryers and straighteners left for your use so you can make your hair as glam as your makeup!

In addition to all of the above, you have access to an all-day lounge. Residents can help themselves to teas and coffees plus fresh pastries every day of your stay. You can enjoy the treats in the lounge, take them back to your apartment or take away in the cups provided  if running out the door to explore. I will give you a tip now, make sure you get in early for the cakes because they are to die for. I think I ate my weight in pastries during my stay!

Righ Residences offers an intimate and enjoyable stay which feels like a home away from home, whether in town for business or pleasure it’s the best base for any reason. In most ways, it’s just like staying at a hotel BUT I felt even more at home with the effortless blend of cosy and convenient.
