Oulton Hall is offering golfers a much-needed lift after the stresses and strains of lockdown this spring and summer with the return of the QHotels Group’s popular ‘Great British Breakaway’ golf packages.
Following the government roadmap for reopening, the popular venue near Leeds is offering outstanding value on two-night, two-round packages, with prices starting from £185 per person.
Bookable from now until April 30, the ‘Great British Breakaway’ promotion runs for stays from May 17 until October 3, giving golfers the chance to make up for lost time and reconnect with friends and family after so many months apart.
In addition to 36 holes of golf, players will enjoy two nights’ bed-and-breakfast accommodation in a four-star hotel, dinner on the first night, complimentary use of the leisure facilities and a bucket of beer in their room on arrival.
All packages – which are based on two people sharing a room – include the QHotels Group’s Flexible Booking Guarantee, which allows guests to make changes to their booking free of charge should plans change.
Oulton Hall is part of the QHotels Group – the UK’s largest golf resort operator. The resort features 27 holes designed by leading golf course architect Dave Thomas and outstanding practice facilities, boasting the north of England’s leading golf performance centre.
Along with Oulton Hall’s renowned golf academy, the top venue offers a range of other facilities aimed at fine-tuning your swing, while the Claret Jug course restaurant is the ideal place to re-energise after a long day on the course. Its unique 18th-century former family mansion is the perfect choice for a hotel, with landscaped gardens, sweeping spiral staircases and a state-of-the-art spa.
The QHotels Group manages seven top golf resorts in England and Scotland: Belton Woods, in Grantham, Lincolnshire; Dunston Hall, in Norwich; Oulton Hall, Leeds; Slaley Hall, in Hexham, Northumberland; Telford Hotel & Golf Resort, in Shropshire; DoubleTree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort, in Brigg; and DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Westerwood Spa & Golf Resort.
To get ready for the return of guests across all its hotels and golf resorts on May 17, the group’s housekeeping staff will be deployed to complete 88,170 minutes of cleaning with 11,756 pillows to be fluffed.
The maintenance team will furiously busy themselves prepping leisure facilities with 58,422 yards of golf course lawn to mow and 298 meters of pool to clean.
In addition, meetings will be welcomed back with 250 meeting rooms to prep, and happy couples will be able to celebrate their postponed nuptials, with the group preparing for 212 summer wedding celebrations. There are 2,100 Moët & Chandon bottles waiting to be popped in celebration, and 45,800 new seasonal menus to be ordered for delicious afternoon teas and mealtimes.
