Oh I Do Like to be Beside the Seaside

The true beauty and charm of the Double Tree Hilton Metropole in Brighton is that it is slap bang in the middle of the action. You can wake up to aqua marine views of the English Channel, enjoy a nice buffet breakfast, step outside of the Victoriana and be ready to start your day on Brighton’s vibrant seafront.

This hotel is 125 years old and despite full modernisation it still retains the old elegance and charm of a classic English seaside hotel. The hotel now boasts an indoor pool and spa, fitness room and parking. It is very child friendly, and you can even take your pet away with you making it the perfect hotel for families.

You will find really large rooms decorated in a modern, comfortable style allowing the view of the old pier to do the talking. You can request a family room and some even have a balcony from which you can watch the world go by below and soak in that seaside magic.

Brighton is gearing up for summer, and before heading out of an evening, you can have drinks and dinner in the Metropole Bar. Sitting beneath the i360 this restaurant and outdoor terrace provides a modern English menu and cocktail list. It’s a great spot for people watching and we enjoyed a delightful antipasti platter with our sundowners.

Brighton is a mecca for foodies with big hitters such as Etch and Dilsk producing 5 star tasting menus utilising local produce. If you fancy a steak then look no further than the Coal Shed where you will discover mouthwatering steaks and freshly caught oysters. If you fancy dinner with a view, you can also book a table on the roof at Rockwater Hove which is the perfect spot for a sunset.

This summer Brighton will be entertaining visitors with a host of events. There is barely a week that will go by without a festival or event.

Ibiza Proms on the Seafront will run throughout June and boast a 50-piece orchestra blasting out Ibiza classics to give you all the holiday feels. Brighton Pride will take over the city in August with thousands of revellers landing on the city to celebrate love of all kinds.

Whatever your reason for visiting, the Double Tree Brighton Metropole will give you a great nights sleep in the heart of the action.
