For families especially, having a well-connected base can completely change the pace of your trip. No one wants to spend half the day navigating complicated routes or dragging tired little legs across the city before the fun has even started.


This hotel is just a few minutes’ walk to either Holborn or Russell Square tube stations, it’s so handy to hop on the Piccadilly line to Covent Garden, Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus. The same line also takes you out to Green Park for Buckingham Palace and South Kensington for the Natural History Museum, V&A and the Science Museum – perfect for a family break in the capital!

Guests can choose from a range of contemporary rooms and suites, all equipped with modern comforts including Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and signature DoubleTree amenities. Room options include Standard, Superior, Premium and Deluxe rooms as well as spacious Suites ideal for longer stays or family breaks.
The recent expansion has introduced a number of premium room options Two split level Double Double Duplex Suites feature a pair of plush queen-sized beds on one level and a living area with additional sofa bed on another. Five new Deluxe Double Double rooms, also with two queen-sized beds, are ideal for family stays for up to four.

There are also seven new King Deluxe Suites which offer a spacious stay for two with luxurious king-sized beds. The interiors blend a warm, chic aesthetic with natural materials and bold furnishings for a soothing stay.
When it comes to dining, The Writing Room Restaurant is a stylish yet relaxed option, it is a lovely spot to sit down and enjoy a meal without having to leave the hotel in search of somewhere family friendly. Ask for a table in front of the big window facing out onto the street, it’s great for people watching, young kids will love spotting all the big red buses and black taxis
After a full day in the city, there is something wonderfully convenient about being able to enjoy good food just a few steps from your room. The menu offers a satisfying choice of dishes, making it easy for everyone to find something they will enjoy, whether you are in the mood for a hearty evening meal or something lighter.



If you wanted to branch out a little, there are plenty of both independent and well-known chain restaurants on the doorstep. It’s a win-win.

On a personal note, it was so nice to be staying in a hotel where the staff seem genuinely happy to be working there. The atmosphere is really pleasant and welcoming. Everyone has a cheery hello, from the reception team to housekeeping, and the restaurant and bar staff. It’s a lovely way to start (and end) the day, the positivity is contagious.
