Swedish lifestyle brand WeSC (We Are the Superlative Conspiracy) first hit the fashion scene back in 1999, with affordable clothing gear inspired by skateboarders and snowboarders.
They rapidly grew a cult following by engaging influencers from the underground music and sports scene long before Instagram was invented, and the rest is history.
Their recent foray into the world of audio accessories has proven to be equally as fruitful, mixing slickly designed headphones with quality and affordability. We tried out a pair of the wonderfully compact True Wireless Earbuds and have found them to be a solid performer across the board over a 10-day period.
First up, the design itself is minimal and easy on the eye. Charging time was swift and connecting them to my iPhone via Bluetooth was breezily instantaneous. I took them out on a jog and fired up the latest Anja Schneider podcast, which featured everything from disco through to tech-house and techno. A Christmas playlist sounded just as good, with Frank Sinatra’s dulcet tones sounding better than ever.
Sound quality is crisp and clear, and mightily impressive considering the modest price-tag. The buds also come packed with several nifty features that make them stand out from the vast competition. As well as the usual charging case and cable, the buds can also be juiced-up wirelessly with a compatible charger.
Fully charged, the buds provide up to 5 hours of playback, whilst the case boasts an additional three full charges. That’s a total of 20 hours playback. On top of that, WeSC earbuds are Ixp6 rated, which means they can hold up against heavy rainfall and high-water pressure. Perfect for jogging and gym sessions.
Handsfree calls are also handled well, making them a great all-rounder that come highly recommended as a Christmas stocking filler. On-ear headphones and wired headphones are also available in a variety of colours. WeSC True Wireless Earbuds are available from Amazon for £59.95.
