Eat, Sleep, Party, Repeat is the motto of Manchester’s newest, and quite frankly most fabulous hotel in the city. Moxy Manchester City is a contemporary, lifestyle hotel located just off Deansgate in the heart of the city centre. The motto stands true to life, as the hotel is all about having fun whilst visiting Manchester for a night or longer.

As soon as you walk through the revolving doors at Moxy Manchester you instantly know it’s not like your average boring check-in. You head for the bar, which is where the reception is based, and you’ll be offered a cocktail on arrival. Yes, that’s right an actual cocktail, all part of your booking and at no extra charge. It’s this simple addition to check-in that makes you realise Moxy is different from everywhere else.
The bar is a funky, vibrant place to hang out with other guests at the hotel. On a Friday afternoon you’ll find the resident DJ spinning his decks in the cubby corner of the lounge, and plenty of guests enjoying the live music. There’s a foosball table, loads of unusual board games, books galore, an array of on-trend sofas, and bright neon pouffes to make you feel at home. Around every corner there’s in instagrammable opportunity from the popart hanging chairs to the graffitied lockers and head-height roaring fire.

Each guest’s key card gives you access to use the lifts, open doors, and enter your room. Once in the room, they are compact, cosy, and ideal for a city break.
You will find a 50” Smart TV compatible with your mobile device to watch your personal Netflix, Prime, BritBox and all other subscription TV services you may be signed up to. The beds are all king sized and they also offer family and twin rooms. The room also has a walk-in rain shower with reusable bottles of soap, shampoo and shower gel. Equally there’s a comfy corner to relax with cushions, and plenty of coffee and tea. Everything you could possibly need for a night or two in the city.

The view from each hotel room is of the busy city streets. The floor-to-ceiling windows are vast and span the entire width of your room – great for people watching!
Breakfast is served next to the bar, where there is plenty of seating, and it doesn’t feel anything like a traditional hotel restaurant, more a place to hangout and chill. Included in the breakfast is hot and cold dishes, you simply help yourself. From cheese and meats to yoghurts and pastries, or if you’re feeling hungry there’s a simple selection of hot food to choose from like sausages, bacon, beans and egg. The Moxy has a hot drink machine, juice machine and fresh ice-cold water or if you’re more of a Bloody Mary drinker then you’re already at the bar!
It’s a great base in the city, as the Moxy Manchester is only 10 minutes walk from the Arndale, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, and all the train and tram stations are within waking distance. Theatres, museums, and entertainment venues are a stones throw away. And, if you’re in the city for clubbing, then the Moxy is an ideal hotel. Furthermore if you’re in town on a gastronomic journey there are hundreds of restaurants just moments away from Moxy Manchester.

Would we recommend staying at Moxy Manchester City? It’s a huge YES from us. As an added bonus, if you’re a dog owner the hotel accepts your four-legged friends, and if that’s not an incentive to book then I don’t know what is.
Moxy Manchester City is part of the Marriott Bonvoy Collection of worldwide hotels. Prices start at around £115 per night depending on the day of the week you stay. Visit Moxy Manchester City to book a room and to find out more.
