The Botanical Home is a wonderful, spiritual, uplifting business, launched by qualified holistic therapist, Kay during lockdown. With the negative effect on people’s mental health and wellbeing, we think this is a fantastic business and perfect for the difficult times we find ourselves in.
We knew about the many subscription boxes that had flooded the market and there is definitely a place for them, but never have we seen anything like The Botanical Home. It’s effect on us has been amazing!
Let me tell you more about Kay and The Botanical Home.
Kay’s idea was to create wellbeing boxes, initially to help with sleep problems and stress. As a qualified flower essence consultant, this enabled Kay to include them within her boxes and offer something a little different to the ‘Spa Hamper’ or ‘Subscription Box’ market.
Kay told us, “Each of my boxes comes with complete instructions on how to use the products, I also include sheets with techniques on how to improve wellbeing. I change the boxes three times a year; Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox. In turn introducing a new box theme, changing the salts, information leaflets and some of the products.”
Kay discovered that her Beyond the Botanical Therapy Boxes, the spiritual side of the boxes, really struck a chord with customers, so she launched her Meditation, Spiritual Healing and Love and Spirit boxes, followed by the Wildfire and Wooden Ritual Boxes, all of which create the perfect gifts for family, friends and loved ones.
Soon after, Kay was asked to offer crystals, and this led her to create the Crystal Prescription Boxes.
Her range keeps expanding as her audience grows and with many wanting to improve their mental health and spiritual wellbeing, there is a real thirst now for natural healing, meditation and crystal healing. Kay added, “People also want to gift something that can offer help and knowledge and is not just a token pamper package.
I work with Heka who provide a wellbeing platform service across a national business network, providing monthly boxes to their clients in the banking, insurance, advertising and IT sectors. Many businesses including the NHS, financial services sector and fostering groups, purchase boxes for staff as rewards and thank you gifts.”
We wanted to try a box here in the H&N office as like many others, we have found our own mental health and wellbeing has suffered and changed our outlook on how we tackle each day. Kay sent us the Spirit Healer Box which is for those who need a spiritual boost.
The first thing we noticed was the amazing aroma coming from the box, even before it had been opened! “What is that?” we asked each other. We had no idea, all we knew was that it was a beautiful, uplifting smell and all we wanted to do was breathe it in.

The third covered Natural Healers and Lymphatic Drainage and Chakra Balancing with Crystal and the fourth, Botanicals and their wonderful healing properties and Key Principles and Daily Rituals.
Being completely honest, we found all of this information really interesting and we learned a lot!
We loved the contents and using them we found ourselves feeling calmer and more positive. It might just be coincidence, but good things started to happen! We like to think it is down to a shift in our mindset, improved mental wellbeing and the influence of this magical box of wellness.
