It is for now anyway, and let’s hope it stays that way! So when Coxy’s Kitchen was invited to get social at Everybodys Social, we jumped at the chance.
Christmas in Leeds? Situated in the heart of Guiseley, Leeds, Everybodys offers an ‘all day’ dining experience, with the ethos of being able to offer something to ‘everybody.’
Our Thursday evening dining experience was a quiet affair. With only a few diners in, my friend and I were both surprised at how quiet it was. But the good thing about Everybodys is, it’s not too big and not too small, so even quieter days don’t deter from the experience. A fun atmosphere was very much still present, helped by bright neon signs, funky music and a friendly service.

Having recently launched a new menu we couldn’t wait to get stuck in but first, a cocktail. With an extensive drinks menu including as selection of 15 cocktails, I was spoiled for choice. I’m not big on cocktails, so I stuck to what I knew – a Negroni. Despite being off menu, our waitress Freya was happy to accommodate, and with my friend sticking to her Sauvignon Blanc, it was time to peruse the menu.
From small plates to burgers, burritos to hot dogs, and salads to steak, not forgetting the house specials; this new menu really does offer something for everybody – plus, amongst these are plenty of veggie and vegan options too.
To start, my friend ordered the Battered Prawns, which came with subtly spiced sriracha sauce. I chose the Chicken Wings, of which there is a choice of hot sauce, or sticky barbecue, and comes served with a cool ranch dip. Feeling brave, I chose the hot sauce for my wings – not too hot, but just enough to leave behind a tingle on the tongue, which was quickly cooled by the ranch dip.
I even managed to pinch one of my friends’ prawns. The batter was perfectly light and crispy and the prawns plump and juicy, as they should be.
On to the mains and we both opted for steak and chips. A succulent steak, which we both ordered rare; served with crispy fries and a rocket and Parmesan salad. The accompanying sauce options were chimichurri or a traditional peppercorn sauce. We both decided that garlic, chilli and herbs was the way forward, so for us… chimichurri. Steak to order can be a tricky to get right, but ours was cooked to perfection.
After our [empty] plates were cleared, it wasn’t long before we were presented with the dessert menu. As I don’t have a sweet tooth I opted for – what I like to call – a ‘liquid dessert,’ which was an Espresso Martini; my fave, and one and only after dinner cocktail. My friend ordered a delicious slice of Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake, which came served with cheer and a sparkler. It turns out that our waitress Freya had overheard us talking about my friend’s birthday, which was two days earlier, so decided to add this little extra touch as a surprise. Personal touches like this really do make all the difference and I was reliably informed, that the cheesecake was delicious too!

Whether you like to brunch, lunch, have a meal out with friends, or maybe it’s just a coffee or cocktail, Everybodys truly is for everybody. And with the festive season approaching fast, Christmas party bookings are being snapped up faster than you can say “Santa Claus.” So, if you haven’t booked yours yet, Everybody Social is the perfect place for fun, food and festivities. The perfect Christmas in Leeds!
