Is this the most exciting time of the year? I mean, some people prefer spring and summer, but I’m an autumn girl through and through. So, when Black Sheep Coffee announced their new seasonal menu I had to pop in.
Upon hearing the words Pumpkin Spice, Iced Matcha, and Norwegian Waffles, I ran to my nearest Black Sheep Coffee. Bond Street, Leeds was my chosen location in the city centre, perfectly situated to people watch and enjoy lunch.

Firstly, the new menu, which launched recently comprises of Pumpkin Spice Matcha, and Iced Pumpkin Spice Matcha. Secondly, you’ll find Apple Crumble Matcha, Iced Apple Crumble Matcha, and Pumpkin Spiced Latte. Thirdly, and finally there’s the addition of a Norwegian Matcha Waffle.

I’ve never really been into Matcha (maybe I never had a good one previously), but I do love a good pumpkin spiced drink. On this occasion I wanted to test my tastebuds, so I opted for both an Iced Apple Crumble Matcha, and a Pumpkin Spiced Latte, plus I obviously indulged in a Norwegian Matcha Waffle.

The service was quick, the café had lovely clean tables, and I found the perfect spot to watch the world go by. I tried the Iced Apple Crumble Matcha first, and it was deliciously refreshing, packed with flavour, and looked gorgeous. The Pumpkin Spiced Latte was extra hot, just the way I like my hot drinks, and really good. Furthermore, it was served in a cup, which makes a pleasant change to the usual giant mugs that everything seems to be served in these days!
But, hold the press because my absolute favourite was the Norwegian Matcha Waffle, which was packed with fresh strawberries, Nutella, and squirty cream. This was an absolute winner, I mean what’s not to love! The addition of Matcha gave a lovely green tinge to the waffle, but I didn’t taste it as much as I did in the Iced Apple Crumble Matcha drink. Even the artwork in the cafe is pretty darn cool!

So, if you’re heading out and fancy something autumnal, you should visit Black Sheep Coffee and try one of their fabulous seasonal options. If you don’t, it will be Christmas before you know it, when everything in the world becomes mulled wine and mince pie flavoured!
