Garlic and Chilli Oil Noodles Recipe
Who needs takeout when you can make delicious Garlic and Chilli Oil Noodles in just 15 minutes!
Garlic and Chilli Oil Noodles is an assembly of mainly storecupboard ingredients, coated in hot oil to create the most wonderful dressing and transforming bland egg noodles into a rather spectacular dish.
Serves 2
Prep time: 5-10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
- 120g Medium or thick egg noodles
- 2 Large garlic cloves, finely chopped or crushed
- 15g Spring onion (white part only), finely chopped
- 2 tsp Bouillon powder
- 3 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Shaoxing rice wine
- 5 tsp Soy sauce
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable oil
- Garnish: Spring onion (green part only), sliced
METHOD:



- Cook the noodles according to packet instructions, then drain and place in a serving bowl
- With the exception of the oil, arrange all ingredients on top of the noodles in the centre, then pour over the shaoxing rice wine and soy sauce
- Heat the oil in a small pan until it starts to smoke, then pour over the raw ingredients, paying particular attention to the garlic and chilli flakes
- Combine all the ingredients with chopsticks or a fork, then divide between two bowls and garnish with sliced spring onion
