STEAMCREAM – AN INTRODUCTION
Steamcream was founded with one clear mission: to Make Skincare Simple. Inspired to develop a product and manufacturing process that benefitted the customer first and foremost, Steamcream launched in 2007 and produced only one product for its first eight years in business. We have now moisturised over 10 million people around the world and continue to grow.
We believe achieving great skin is simple – by providing gentle support to moisturise and protect the skin during our daily life and avoiding skin overloading. Developed as a whole-body moisturiser, STEAMCREAM delivers targeted benefits to skin health and can be used to moisturise the face, hands and body. Using a proven blend of moisturising oatmeal, cocoa butter and almond oil, it is handmade in small batches in Japan, using a Pure Steam Process to gently emulsify our carefully chosen ingredients.
Steamcream products are vegan, containing no artificial colouring, gluten, animal gelatin or dairy products. The limited-edition aluminium tins are artfully designed, portable and are environmentally friendly and recyclable.
OUR PURE STEAM PROCESS
Celebrating its 14th anniversary this year, STEAMCREAM moisturisers are made using a Steam Emulsification Process first noted in France during the 1800s. As a Japanese brand, we focus on balance and harmony for the skin through carefully chosen ingredients and dedication to our production process – how it’s made matters just as much as the ingredients we use.
Our Pure Steam Process takes time, patience and a human touch, but we know it’s worth it. Steamcream’s extensive research discovered that the Power of Pure Steam better preserved the ingredients’ beneficial properties and produced a moisturiser that is light on the skin, effective and gentle for both the face and body. Using pure steam to gently emulsify a colloidal oatmeal water infusion with a blend of cocoa butter, almond oil and jojoba oil, the larger, loose molecule emulsification allows the cream to be quickly absorbed by the skin, boosting the skin’s natural barrier to retain its all-important moisture.

We know we’re in the minority, but Steamcream will never bring out products that promise the earth, wrinkle-free skin, or to instantly look 10 years younger with a magic serum. We never use ingredients our skin does not need, and our core mission will always be to Create Happiness through Simply Great Skin.
OUR THREE PILLARS
In keeping with our dedication to simple skincare, Steamcream has three key pillars:
MOISTURISE
The first pillar and the heritage of Steamcream. Made using our hand-pressed oatmeal infusion, steam-emulsified with almond oil, jojoba oil and cocoa butter, we blend four essential oils (lavender, neroli, chamomile and rose) at skin-balanced levels to maximise efficacy and be gentle on the skin. Our light, delicate cream hydrates and soothes, providing you with moisturised, smooth skin on your face, body and hands.
NEW FOR 2021: NEW Seasonal Line – Based on the formula of the much-loved STEAMCREAM Original Moisturiser, each of the seven moisturisers have been developed to harness the power of key natural ingredients and essential oils to support the skin’s specific needs during seasonal transitions.
PROTECT
Steamcream’s Protect line helps our skin defend itself against the three known causes of skin damage: UV rays, heat and pollution. Eucalyptus & Tea Tree Cream and Eucalyptus & Tea Tree Mist, launched in February 2021, help to protect the skin from external allergens, soothe and calm irritated skin, and support our skin’s barrier function.

SUPPORT
Within the third pillar, Steamcream delivers supportive skincare to maximise the benefits of our Moisturise and Protect products. Our Cleansing Balm is made with the same blend of four essential oils as our Original Moisturiser, harnessing the power of almond oil, sugar squalane, grapeseed oil and oat kernel oil to glide like silk while softly conditioning and moisturising the skin. Our Toner blends aloe vera, oat kernel extract and essential oils to give your skin a burst of hydration before moisturising, so your skin better absorbs your moisturiser. It also helps to minimise the appearance of pores, temporarily tightening the skin, leaving it radiant and firm.
OUR DESIGNS
Steamcream is available in an original brushed aluminium tin, or in one of our Limited-Edition designs. Since launch, Steamcream’s Japanese artists have created over 1,100 handcrafted collectible tins to allow our customers to choose their favourite design. With the same dedication we bring to our product development and Pure Steam manufacturing, we spend time and resources to bring new designs to our customers. How our customers feel matters to us, and we enjoy offering them a choice of design to suit their mood.
