The Pheasant Lodge is a luxury, self-catering period property, sleeping six people, located in the Cartmel Valley, two miles from the centre of Cartmel, in Field Broughton and two miles from Lake Windermere. The perfect holiday home.
The property offers spectacular views over beautiful gardens and the Cartmel Valley, up to Hampsfell and makes the ideal base for those who enjoy walking, mountain biking or simply relaxing in a secluded situation.


The village of Cartmel
Refurbished to a superior standard, the accommodation offers comfort and luxury as well as beautifully restored features including high ceiling, large windows, fireplaces and parquet floors.
There are two large bedrooms and one bathroom, a large lounge with sofa bed and a separate dining room. All the windows in the house look out to the lush gardens that surround the property.


The apartment is all on the ground floor, with just two steps in the house. New electric heating has been installed throughout the house with an electric fire in the lounge.
There is private parking for three cars at the front of the property on a private driveway and three private garden areas for use in your stay.
Local attractions include Cartmel Races, Rogan’s *** Michelin restaurants and Cartmel Priory, plus the many famous and stunning Wainwright’s you may want to climb.
The Space
The Georgian property is found at the end of a long driveway away from the road. The property dates back in parts to 1710, with areas in Pheasant Lodge built in 1870. Throughout the apartment you can see beautiful features including high ceilings, stone steps, parquet floor and original floorboards. This is a beautiful holiday home.
Lounge


A huge expanse, the lounge is a light, welcoming room with both windows looking out to the garden. There is an electric fire and plenty of comfortable seating for six people. The large 60-inch TV offers Sky, with over 400 channels and Netflix, all available for your stay.
There is a double sofa bed in the lounge available on request.
Dining Room
A warm and cosy room, perfect for an evening around the table which seats six people. A highchair is also available. Mood lighting and the original parquet floor help to create a beautiful dining experience close to the kitchen.
The cupboard in this room is filled with board games and children’s toys.
Kitchen


A fully refurbished kitchen, equipped with oven, grill, microwave and four hobs. There is a large American style, double door fridge and freezer, which also provides chilled water and ice at the touch of a button. There is a huge amount of cooking equipment and a window seat for company whilst making delicious meals. Next to the Kitchen there is also a utility room with washing machine, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board. There is also a boot room next to the kitchen with wellies for your use, a place to hang and dry your wet clothes and a separate wc.
Master Bedroom


There’s a super king-size bed and original features including a fireplace, high ceilings and beautiful arch. There is also a seating area and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the views from the windows.
Twin/Double Bedroom:


Bed can be made to double or twin on your request with Emma Mattresses for pure comfort. Beautiful high ceilings, original features and views looking out to Hampsfell and our beautiful garden.
Bathroom is a newly refurbished bathroom with electric shower and bath.
Outside

Gardens surround the apartment, so you are spoilt for choice. The hedged garden at the front of the house catches the sun at the end of the day. To the back of the house, from the boot room exit there is a private walled garden perfect for dining outside and enjoying drinks. The lawn at the side can be seen from most windows in the house and looks out across the valley.
Parking
There is plenty of parking for three cars at the property, to the front of the house. The parking is secure and off road.
