Aloha 65 – the Sunshine Spirit

Spirit of Aloha 65 was conceived in a beach bar in Florida thirty years ago by British ex-part barman, surfer and chef, Stephen Thorp. Stephen experimented with various all-natural alcoholic fruit and spice spirit infusions using locally available fruits and spices to create the perfect sundowner to lure the famous and not so famous surfers and sunseekers to his bar. The stand-out concoction, that became the ritual sundowner, was a carefully balanced natural grain spirit infusion using fresh pineapple, ginger and scotch bonnet chilli; refreshing and reviving with a kick of spice to warm the soul. Fast forward thirty years, and many waves later, and Stephen decided to try to share his creation with the world. It took many attempts (65 in fact) to perfect the recipe and manufacturing process until Stephen was happy with it, but he’s done it and Spirit of Aloha 65 has finally come of age

Aloha 65 is made from an all-natural, pure grain spirit and six all-natural botanicals, which are used to infused the spirit. The maceration and distillation process takes up to a month, after which time the six infusions are carefully blended together to create this remarkable new spirit.

Aloha 65 boasts huge versatility. It can be enjoyed as a refreshing and reviving long-drink – the signature serve is a double shot topped up with ginger ale. It is also delicious neat over ice or as a chilled shot, and, because there is nothing else quite like it, Aloha 65 can be used as a very distinctive and different heart of classic cocktails such as the Daiquiri, Margarita, Old Fashioned or Mojito, or as the heart of a new cocktail. Aloha 65, Sun on a Beach Hot Sauce

Developed, almost by accident, by start-up company Big Wave Brands Ltd, this vegan Aloha Hot Sauce was born out of Spirit of Aloha 65, a delicious all-natural infused spirit. Aloha 65, Sun on a Beach, Hot Sauce, is carefully blended in small batches in the UK using the same ingredients (pineapple, ginger, scotch bonnet chilli etc.) as Spirit of Aloha 65 – minus the alcohol of course!

It works beautifully in an Aloha/Bloody Mary instead of the traditional spicy accompaniments. Keeping it in the Aloha 65 family for marinading to cocktail shaking, now you need look no further than Sun on a Beach hot sauce for all your dousing, dipping, and dunking needs.
