Why Amada Colossos Resort in Rhodes is Exceeding Expectations!

I don’t think I have said “WOW” more in my life.  From the minute I stepped onto the thick, luxurious carpet in the Executive Lounge (available to those on the Elite Collection VIP package), everything  that I felt, smelt and tasted and was of the highest quality.

Opening my door to the Executive Suite on the 9th floor, with epic views of Rhodes, the impressive 140m pool and the Aegean Sea, I was one happy VIP. I’m not sure what I loved the most about my suite, the huge walk-in wardrobe or the daily gifts left in my room. It was a dream room.

Sat drinking my complimentary bottle of bubbles on the balcony that stretched the length of the suite, I contemplated how quiet and peaceful the resort was. All I could hear were the waves on the shore despite this being a family resort with 699 rooms, making up 17 types of accommodation.

This is a considerate family resort with designated adult areas, and the clever design means that child friendly areas such as the 5 slide waterpark are at the back of the hotel leaving me to sip my bubbles in peace.

All-inclusive resorts can be off putting as you don’t really know what you are getting for your commitment until you get there. The Amada Colossos Resort provides a range of packages from double rooms with bed and breakfast, to Sea View Villas with VIP All-Inclusive deals, and the beauty is you can upgrade once to you get there if you like what you see.

They have 16 bars and restaurants across the resort, and we tried all three of the A La Carte restaurants. The food is authentic, fresh and absolutely delicious.  The menus are well thought through featuring crowd pleasing dishes to more unique takes on the given cuisine. The Greek breakfast was especially impressive and authentic. I loved making the traditional coffee and service was phenomenal, as it was throughout.

If you like to escape the pool and beach gazebo’s (available for daily hire), the hotel can organise several excursions or private experiences for you. We learned a bit about the history of Rhodes with a walking tour of the old town. It was interesting to learn why there is such an eclectic mix of architecture due to the multiple invasions over the past 500 years.

And what is a holiday to Greece without a boat trip. Diving into the clear blue sea of Rhodes, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world thanks to the philosophy of Amada Colossos which is “whatever you want, is possible”.
