The Reasons Why Purchasing a Condo in Bangkok Remains a Great Choice for Foreigners

It is fair to say that many visitors to Thailand thoroughly enjoy their stay with a large percentage returning and introducing others to the Land of Smiles.

Sometimes it leads to a far longer stay, or increasingly regular visits, either as a second home, to retire, or to take up an offer of employment in Bangkok, one of the most vibrant cities in the world.

They might find the prospects even more alluring when discovering that a foreigner is allowed under Thai law to own a unit in a condo under the Condominium Act. This is often confused when reading that they cannot own the actual land that a property or building stands on. This is why condos, such as those at The Origin Ramintra 83 Station, are continually in demand for several reasons.

Bangkok

  • Bangkok is growing and expanding at a rapid rate. Places that were once considered to be somewhat out on a limb are now close to outstanding facilities and amenities to provide for all ages. Be it world-class shopping malls, entertainment, or places to eat and drink, there is no need to travel far to be satisfied. And with the light railway infrastructures also growing rapidly, there is far easier access than ever for those who want to reach the centre of the city for work or to enjoy leisure time.
  • Once someone purchases a condo, they have an investment that will only grow in value. It offers surety and equity just in case anything goes wrong in the lives of the owner. Like requiring some quick funds for travel or a medical emergency which are far easier to source with the asset of a property to fall back on. Going to a bank to obtain a loan to set up a business enterprise is far more likely to be approved by a property owner. Once moved in, the timeless appeal of reclaimed wood furniture in a Thai style might be bought.
  • The thought of those with their own condo being able to arrive from their homeland at any time and take up immediate residence is something worth its weight in gold. There are no expenses for hotels that need to be found, while those who decide to purchase and convert from rented accommodation will also receive a warm glow when they would otherwise be paying for something that they do not own.
  • Not only can the owner benefit, but it can be offered to friends visiting the city, while they might also rent it out through a management company. As the infrastructure surrounding the condo continues to develop, so does its value and attractiveness. It might even be possible to claim a VAT tax refund. Owning a condo quickly allows an understanding of the local community and how to feel part of it to enjoy a true Thai living experience, rather than that of a tourist.

Purchasing a condo in Bangkok represents great value and provides a sound investment, in a city that continues to grow and develop its infrastructure.
