This year I am embracing Christmas by Santa’s reigns and enjoying all the festivities a little earlier than I normally would! This included a trip to Bath to check out the popular Christmas market coupled with an overnight stay at Roseate Villa.
Being a huge advocate of the Roseate Hotels across England, this is my third experience at one of their properties and my first trip to Bath. Each of their hotels boast unique charm and designs but they all align when it comes to delivering on a luxurious feel and high standards.
The villa is nestled amongst the stunning Georgian architecture of Bath overlooking Henrietta Park and is perfectly located for reaching all the cultural hotspots Bath has to offer. Just a short walk from the hotel and you reach the festive, illuminated town centre, Bath Abbey and picturesque Putney Bridge.
This boutique hotel features 21 rooms, each with its own charming character and distinctive aspects such as patterned wallpaper and upholstered chairs. Plus point for me was all the natural light pouring through the property as well as cute gestures in the rooms – fresh roses, milk and homemade biscuits plus guidebooks to the area.
After exploring for hours, I was happy to venture back to the Villa and put my feet up! With their own festive décor, the hotels Henrietta Bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Henrietta Bar and Restaurant has got you covered for those winter warming meals and drinkies all made with love by the team.
It wouldn’t be a complete trip to any Roseate resort without afternoon tea! The hotel is currently serving a special, festive experience and the attention to detail reaches new heights. The cakes are so intricately made and the sandwiches mimicked all the flavours you crave for at this time of year. Think roast turkey with pigs in blankets and pulled pork with apple slaw. I lapped up the Bridgeton vibes during my trip so I made sure I ordered the floral Lady Whilstledown Tea!
With this being my first trip to Bath, I soaked up the as much of its charisma and culture that I could and loved playing tourist for the day. Staying at Roseate Villa added to the magic of this staycation. Bath truly is an enchanting city especially at Christmas time and I think I found the perfect winter escape with Roseate Villa.
