The word that springs to mind with South Africans is Passionate! And especially passionate when it comes to their country and their food.
After a turbulent few years, the South African Tourist Board are keen to get people back visiting Cape Town and enjoying all it has to offer! You can Picnic on top of Table Mountain, take a guided Kayaking Tour in Hout Bay, peruse the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, you name it South Africa has it.
The country has captivatingly beautiful landscapes, gorgeous golden sandy beaches and of course safari wildlife to take in making it suitable for the most adventurous and more relaxed traveller. Your trip can be as high octane or relaxing as you like

What’s not to love about a 1-hour time difference and a glass of wine for £1.06! A three-course meal with drinks will only set you back £29.30. Cape Town has been declared by the Post Office as the Best Value Long Haul Destination and that is not to say it scrimps on quality.
It was particularly poignant that the South African Tourist Board event was held on the anniversary of the Soweto uprisings when a group of students angry at their inferior education made a stand. Thanks to their bravery South Africa is a far better and safer country to visit today.

South Africa boasts world class winelands. About 40km east off Cape Town you will find a series of beautiful valleys knowns as the Cape Winelands perfect for a tasting day or two which are also incredibly reasonable compared to their more expensive counterparts in Nappa Valley.
No trip is complete without immersing yourself in a country’s cuisine and with dishes such as Chakalaka, a spicy cook down which sings with spices and diverse cuts of meat on the Brai you won’t go hungry.

South Africans love their lamb, and we sampled a perfectly succulent, slow cooked melt in the mouth lamb curry made from lamb that grazes on Rosemary plants giving it a wonderfully fragrant flavour.
The sparkling chardonnay served was excellent as was the Chenin Blanc. Interestingly South Africa also now has a booming Gin market producing premium Gins if they so take your fancy.
With exceptional food, a culture like no other, dramatic scenery, no language barrier, direct flight and zero jet lag this could be the perfect, reasonably priced next adventure holiday!
