Calling all thalassophiles! If you need to get your fix of ocean views, fall asleep listening to the sound of waves, to take a bubble bath watching surfers and to walk along the shoreline; this hotel is for you.
Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa brings the ocean inside with its epic views of ‘surfers paradise’ Fistral Beach and it’s stunning beach aesthetic. They have even strategically placed the free-standing bath tubs to give you the ultimate seascape bath time view.
This adult only hotel is the perfect escape for those who enjoy child free spaces or want a romantic break away from the kids. The atmosphere is noticeably chilled from the moment you arrive and continues to relax you throughout.
The natural Fistral Spa boasts a pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and treatment rooms. They offer a full range of GAIA treatments and the hot stone full body massage was utterly blissful. The sensory test at the beginning of the treatment, the feet washing and inhalation all elevated the experience to a 10/10 massage. I highly recommend the Gaia Spa, and their products are so good.
The hotel has two restaurants to chose from. You can treat yourselves to refined comfort food at the 2 AA Rosette Dune Restaurant, or you can opt for the more relaxed vibes in the Bay Bar. Both boast the same awesome views and the food was great in both.
Dune brought those lovely little added extras by way of an amuse bouche and freshly baked warm bread with beef dripping butter. Who doesn’t like sipping a glass of rosé, watching the waves roll in and eating warm sweet pretzel bread dripping with butter?
The food was consistently good. The Crab and Lobster, huge tortellini was packed with fresh crab and served in a sauce so divine that I may have sipped from the bowl. The venison was served two ways with a tasty venison cobbler topped and a dumpling which just brought the dish together perfectly. The fillet steak was also cooked to perfection.
Breakfast offers bottomless mimosas, daily specials, a continental buffet and cooked to order mains menu. Perfect to set you up for a day on the beach.
Fistral Beach Hotel & Spa faces the Atlantic making it one of the best surfing beaches in the country. If you want to learn, there are lots of surf schools offering lessons, or if you are more of a spectator, sit back and let those rolling waves relax you.
