Iglu Cruise reports the highest ever interest in searches for Cruises to Asia, based on UK Google Trends over the last 12 months.
Though pre-pandemic, interest had reached an all-time high, cruising in Asia was slow to pick up again afterwards. April 2024 showed figures up 150% compared to April 2015, with the previous peak at February 2020, which was 120% up on April 2015.
Iglu Cruise reports a particular interest in cruises featuring Japan which is currently on offer from £1,979 per person.
In response to peaking demand in the region, Iglu Cruise has developed new itineraries, including tour and cruise elements and more cruises with extended stays pre- and post-cruise. Reasons given for the peaking demand for cruising in Asia, include increasing confidence in cruising further afield, the current affordability of Japan and the interest in culture and food in the region.
