Hotel Santa Caterina on the Amalfi Coast Re-opens for the Summer Season

An Amalfi coastal classic improving with age, Hotel Santa Caterina is one of those quintessential Italian hotels that doesn’t need news in order to make headlines. However, there is news to be shared in 2025: an ever-so elegant and brand-new rooftop restaurant, Senzafine, and seven new suites.

There’s also the added excitement of new flight routes. Last year, easyJet made Amalfi more accessible than ever before by launching the first and only direct flights to the newly commercialised Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport. Until then, visitors to the Amalfi Coast had to fly to Naples before making their way to the iconic coastline. Now, travellers can land directly in the heart of the Amalfi coast, and experience the famous Amalfi Drive as they make their way along the coast to Amalfi on a road that is carved into the cliffs and offers views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It beats the winding roads from Naples, without a doubt.

Ryanair followed suit of easyJet shortly after last year, and now British Airways joins them in 2025 with three flights per week launching from London Gatwick to Salerno Costa d’Amalfi as of 22nd May.

NEW ROOFTOP RESTAURANT: SENZAFINE

New for 2025, Hotel Santa Caterina will unveil a new rooftop restaurant with enviable views of the Amalfi Bay. Anticipated to open in May, Senzafine – which translates to “endless” (once you see the view, it makes sense) – will be a Mediterranean grill with a sushi bar… the first offering of its kind on the Amalfi coast. Headed up by Executive Chef, Guiseppe Stanzione, Senzafine has its sights set on becoming one of the best known restaurants along the coast.

SEVEN NEW SUITES

Located nearby to Hotel Santa Caterina’s exclusive-use Le Ville della Marchesa, these seven new suites are currently under construction. They will be characterised by a more contemporary décor but with the unmistakable and quintessential Italian grandeur and glamour that we know and love. Five of these new suites will be one-bedroom, one will be a one-bedroom duplex, and one will be a two-bedroom duplex. More information and images coming soon.
