Dordogne, December 2020: Luxury six-bedroom Dordogne villa, Fontalbe, has announced an enticing range of new gourmet experiences for 2021. The stylish French property has joined forces with chef, Pip Priestley, to provide a tailor-made selection of immersive experiences for food lovers. The three-night experiences are priced at 1250 euros per person and will run from mid-April until the end of September 2021.

Head to the Dordogne: Tucked away on a private island in the breathtakingly beautiful Couze valley, Fontalbe is a former paper mill that has been renovated by its British owners. As well as six en-suite bedrooms, the property boasts spacious living accommodation, free WIFI, a well-stocked French country kitchen and a private heated pool.

From next spring, Fontalbe is offering guests the chance to sample the very best of French cuisine and brush up their culinary skills alongside Pip Priestly, with an exciting range of food experiences. Guests will be able to prepare food from market to table, hone their cookery skills, go foraging in the bountiful French countryside or fully immerse themselves in the fantastic food of the famous Perigord region.

Award-winning chef Pip Priestly, has cooked for celebrities across the world for over 35 years. Pip’s likes to use fresh, seasonal produce, sourced ethically and farmed sympathetically by local artisan dairy, meat, game and fish suppliers.

Fontalbe owner, Rebecca Randall, commented: “We have been lucky enough to taste Pip’s food and can guarantee that it is glorious. He is truly passionate about his craft and always brings plenty of personality with his culinary expertise.”

On arrival at Fontalbe for the three-night gourmet getaway, guests will enjoy a selection of freshly prepared canapes before heading to the dining room for supper. The second day includes a French market tour and the opportunity to cook lunch with Pip. Dinner will be held at a local restaurant, allowing guests to sample some of the local cuisine, although this will not be included in the cost of the stay. On the final day of their stay, guests will either go foraging with Pip or partake in the skills improvement experience and cook lunch with Pip’s guidance. Dinner will be served at the property in the evening.

Guests can opt to stay for a weekend (out of season) or choose to combine one of the experiences with a week of tranquillity, relaxation and understated French luxury at the stunning property.

Located 25 minutes from Bergerac Airport, Fontalbe is also easily accessible by train. For those travelling from London, it is a short commute to Paris before boarding the train for a picturesque journey through the French countryside to Bordeaux. The property is approximately one hour forty-five minutes from the station.
