Oh how I wish I’d known about ROXI only a few short months ago! This App has been an addition to our evening entertainment since downloading it onto our TV recently.
I’m Rachel, one of the tech and gadgets reviewers at H&N Magazine and was offered the chance to review ROXi the free TV Music App. But, what is ROXi and what’s it all about?
ROXi is a British music streaming company backed by Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams. It brings friends and family together to enjoy free unlimited music streaming, exclusive music video channels, karaoke, music games and more. This fun new TV music App is available on Sky Q, Fire TV, Android TV, and Google TV. Plus it’s compatible with Sony Bravia, Philips, Panasonic, TCL, HiSense, Shield Smart TVs, and set-top boxes, with Samsung TV and others coming soon.
ROXi is also available as a console with microphone controller for use with any TV. The best news is that ROXi is backed by all major, and leading independent record labels with original music videos and over 70 million music releases to choose from.
For all budding singers out there, the new ROXi TV Music App is offering for a limited time a FREE Karaoke Microphone (usually priced at £29.99) with just £1 postal charge. The ROXi Karaoke Microphone has an amplifier and speaker built in, with an additional Micro USB cable to keep the mic fully charged and ready for action! Further to this point, I can guarantee that you and your family and friends will have fun with the karaoke microphone whilst singing to your favourite artists on ROXi. Personally, I went back to the 90s and sang some of Madonna’s greatest tracks, my daughter wasn’t impressed with my vocal range, I on the other hand thought I rocked!
So what do you actually get that’s included in the Free ROXi TV package?
Well, it’s Free forever, which is great. Then you get unlimited music videos, exclusive music channels, essential karaoke catalogue, plus essential music games, with adverts. And, Voice Search is available on the ROXi mobile compatible App (available for Android and iOS users).
If you want to upgrade to ROXi Premium, it costs £6.99 per month (with a 30-day free trial, and you can cancel anytime). What’s included in the Premium ROXi TV package?
All the above with the full ROXi experience, and no adverts. You will also get unlimited music videos, exclusive music channels, extended karaoke catalogue, extended music games, extended premium features, and Voice Search (as above).
Both packages have hundreds of expertly curated music video channels for every mood, whether you want to party, relax or reminisce. There are over 140,000 songs with scrolling on-screen lyrics, for the traditional karaoke option or the Karaoke With The Stars option. If you fancy playing an interactive music game you can test your knowledge with Name The Song, ROXi’s game that features millions of songs and multiple genre or era-based games. The addition of Worldwide Radio also means that you have the option to choose from thousands of radio stations to tune into. If you’ve got children singing karaoke or watching music vids on ROXi then you can simply remove all songs with explicit lyrics by using the Explicit Lyric Control button.
This is a great Free App (or paid for Premium option), which helps increase spending time with family and friends; you’ll definitely have loads of fun. Now, if you’ll excuse me I’m about to belt out a Dua Lipa track!
