All we know is that Regal Interiors created our dream home

A few years ago, we had an idea to completely remodel the whole of the downstairs area of our home. Having lived there since it was first built in 1998, it was time to bring it into the 21st century but we needed guidance and someone to project manage and bring our vision to life.

We had heard many good things about local company Regal Interiors. We spoke to the owner, Adrian Frost and explained what we wanted to do, essentially this was to make the whole of the downstairs open plan with no doors, creating lots of space.

This meant that walls would need to come down so that the hallway, lounge, dining room and kitchen would flow into one, plus increase the size of the kitchen threefold!

That was the initial brief we gave to Adrian, now we needed ideas to refine our vision and of course, we had a budget to stick to.

We did our homework, got quotes from three companies and checked out reviews from them all. But a few things stood out a mile for us with Regal Interiors, they suggested great ideas we had not thought about, highlighted things that may not work and offered alternatives and, came up with ideas to keep us within our budget!

Not only that, but we were also invited to look at work they had done in other people’s homes and speak to the homeowners firsthand if we wanted to. That’s confidence in the quality of your work!

Plans drawn up, kitchen chosen, the dates were secured and work commenced.

Now this was no small job and we knew it would take a few weeks of suffering the noise of walls being knocked down, dust everywhere and no cooking facilities, but Adrian had warned us what to expect so there were no nasty surprises and we had prepared as much as possible with a small fridge, cool boxes, microwave and kettle and of course it was the perfect excuse to eat out!

Once the heavy-duty work was over, we could see the progress almost daily and it was so exciting to see our vision take shape, in fact it looked better than we could ever have imagined.

Adrian called on a regular basis to keep an eye on the progression of the work and everything ran as smooth as clockwork. Ok there may have been one or two minor hiccups, but they were dealt with in such a way that we can’t even remember what they were!

All we know is that Regal Interiors created our dream home and five years down the line, everything looks as good as the day it was completed, so it made perfect sense to call them back to transform our master bedroom and en-suite and create a walk-in wardrobe in a spare bedroom.

This work is currently underway and I will of course be sharing the full transformation with you. Who knows, you may just find your own home design inspiration and if you do, you know who to call don’t you?
