Country Cottage – With 2020 being possibly one of the most toxic years in history where society throughout the world has struggled with health and health related problems, it is great to see a small independent business spring out of nowhere to offer toxin free products for both body and home.
Team H&N were lucky enough to try some of the Country Cottage products and we were so impressed that we wanted to spread the word about this great little business. Here are some of the ‘hero products’ on offer.
Lemon and Lime Castile Soap
This is a wonderful, extra mild and gentle liquid soap made from certified organic ingredients as well as added lemon and lime essential oils. It contains no harsh chemicals, additives, colorants, foaming agents, or other harmful ingredients. Just pure derivatives from plant sources. It can be used for the face and body, or as an all-purpose wash and it makes a wonderful base ingredient for your own creations. Traditionally, castile soap contained olive oil, but that definition is now outdated and the currently accepted definition is much broader. This castile soap is made with organic coconut and sunflower oils as well as organic vegetable glycerine instead of olive oil. Castile soap is also a powerful cleaner which lathers beautifully and leaves no greasy residue. It is indispensable in green cleaning because it acts as a surfactant, helping to lift away dirt and cut through grease. You can clean with it inside your home, including as a laundry detergent and a dish soap!

Pure Epsom Salts
These pure Epsom salts come decorated with jute string, complete with gift tag ready to gift and these do make a perfect gift for yourself or others. There are multiple benefits to relaxing in a bath containing these salts; they help aid recovery from exercise, reduce pain and swelling and promote sleep and relaxation. What more could you want?
Relaxing Lavender Bath Bomb
These little spherical shaped bombs will transport you into a state of deep relaxation. They are hand crafted at The Country Cottage, made using five simple ingredients, all of which are safe and toxin free. These magical, pure ingredients are coconut oil, organic lavender essential oil, Epsom salts, citric acid and sodium bicarbonate – and that’s it!
