Meet Pillar: The Design-led Wellness Essential You’ll Actually Want on Display

For many of us, taking daily medication or supplements is part of life. Yet traditional pill boxes are clinical and often end up hidden out of sight and quickly forgotten.

UK Healthcare brand, Sequence, is changing this mindset with Pillar, the beautifully designed, eco-conscious pill organiser that’s already earned over 50,000 sales worldwide in its first year. Founded in Cambridge by Will Robbs, who previously worked with brands including KitchenAid, Dualit and BISSELL, Sequence was born from a frustration of everyday wellbeing tools being unsightly.

“We looked for something better and brighter, and we found nothing but unappealing medical boxes or cheap breakable containers. So, we made our own!” Robbs explains.

The result is Pillar (from £9.99). A tactile, minimalist organiser available in six gorgeous shades (with a new Lavender colour launched this autumn). Available in regular and plus sizes, each Pillar is crafted from wheat-straw plastic, a sustainable bioplastic made by repurposing agricultural by-products that would otherwise go to waste. The material is combined with recycled PP for strength, and is 95 per cent biodegradable.

Beyond its ethical design, Pillar tackles a practical problem in the reluctance many people feel about keeping medication visible. By creating a product people aren’t embarrassed to keep in sight, Sequence helps users stay consistent with their medication.

“When something looks and feels good, you’re more likely to use it,” says Robbs. “We wanted something beautiful that could be left out on a desk, bedside table, or in a gym bag”

Accessibility was also key to the design process. Instead of the stiff hinges and snap lids common in pill boxes, Pillar opens with a smooth sliding motion which is manageable for users.

From recyclable packaging and minimal waste processes to donations to the Woodland Trust, every decision is made with long-term impact in mind and customer response has been overwhelmingly positive.

“I love it! The colour is beautiful, the design is sleek and fits anywhere. It holds 5 of my daily pills, amazing!” says one reviewer.

Another writes: “I love my pillar! It’s beautiful so I leave it on my desk as a reminder, and it’s made me a lot more compliant with my pills and supplements.”

With clean design, conscious materials, and a founder who’s determined to do things differently, Sequence has created a new kind of wellness essential, one that proves practicality and beauty can go hand in hand.

H&N Magazine Review:

We love these pill boxes! The bright colours, the stylish design, the ease of use and of course, the fact that they are completely eco-conscious being made from wheat-straw plastic and recyclable packaging. Pillar tick every box for us and they will for you too.
