As we edge closer to enjoying hospitality indoors, this years World Cocktail Day falls outside the UK's reopening date. So, get yourself some cocktails to enjoy at home later this week and don't miss out.

Thursday 13th May is World Cocktail Day and boy oh boy have we got a great list of drinks for you to enjoy at home.


There is a real mixture of cocktails to choose from. We have included party kits for you and your mates to enjoy in the garden, plus some gin cocktails with recipes to help you become a mixologist. Ingredients
4.5cl Monkey 47
1.5cl applejack
2 dashes grenadine
1 egg white
2cl lemon juice

Method
Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice cubes. Shake and then strain into a nice coupette glass. Garnish with a cherry.

Isle of Harris Distillery, Meadowsweet Tincture Cocktail Recipe, £20 (Tincture), £40 (Isle of Harris Gin), from Isle of Harris

Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) is an ancient Hebridean brewing plant and is the mainstay of this new tincture. The tincture also contains lemon and sweetened plum vinegar, much prized for balancing the digestion and calming inflammation. Add anything from a few drops to a dropper-full of Meadowsweet Tincture to Harris G&T’s, martinis, or simply have fun experimenting in your favourite serves.

Ingredients
35ml Isle of Harris Gin
35ml Schofield’s Dry Vermouth
3 drops of Meadowsweet tincture

Method
Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass. Add cubed ice. Stir over for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
