Two Dine for £49 in the Beautiful Yorkshire Dales; Perfect for Valentine’s

This is an unbeatable offer and as it’s an offer at one of our favourites – The Brasserie Restaurant, at The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa in Bolton Abbey, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, we had to try it out for ourselves!

We love the relaxed dining style at The Brasserie, it’s the perfect place to catch up for lunch, or to sit with friends for dinner and enjoy a much deserved glass of wine after a bracing walk through the estate – we chose to do this after eating to walk off a few calories! This is the Yorkshire Dales at their finest.

A bonus is that as we move towards spring and better weather, you can dine or enjoy that well-earned glass of wine on the terrace; a real sun-trap with impressive views over The Dales. There’s no better place to be on a sunny day.

This particular offer is on until 29th February, so make sure you take advantage as we did. In case you didn’t realise, this is also running throughout Valentine’s – make your reservation now and thank us later.

So the offer itself?

What we ate

The day we visited was a slightly different menu and I know you will want to know what we chose. We started with Chicken Liver Pate, apple chutney, sourdough toast and Classic Moules Mariniere, crusty bread. The pate was whipped to within an inch of its life, making it the lightest, most delicious pate you will ever taste. Perfect with the apple chutney and sourdough toast. A great starter.

The Moules – well let me tell you, the sauce they were sat in was so moreish the dish was almost licked clean and we had extra bread to mop it up!

Our main courses were Steak and Blue Cheese Pot Pie and winter greens and Smoked Haddock, wholegrain mustard mash, garlic spinach, poached hens egg. We shared sides of Garden Peas with bacon and Skinny Fries.

The pie was packed! Beautiful steak and thick gravy just oozed out when cut into. You need to be a blue cheese lover for this as it’s quite a strong flavour, luckily we adore blue cheese.

The Smoked Haddock was simply perfect! Large moist flakes of delicious haddock, complemented by the mustard mash, garlic spinach and perfectly cooked poached hens egg.

The portions are generous, we expected to want a dessert, but we were too full – hence the walk afterwards. This offer is unbeatable value and the menu is pure quality. We will certainly be back to The Brasserie before the offer ends, and another gorgeous walk through the stunning Yorkshire Dales.

Oh and well behaved dogs are welcome on outdoor tables and in the bar area of The Brasserie, with a maximum of two dogs per table. Please inform at the time of booking if you are bringing a dog with you, as limited tables are available and they may not to be able to accommodate you without prior notice.

Only available from 8th January to 29th February 2024. To book, please contact our Reservations team on 01756 718111 or email [email protected].
