The Supper Club Calendar of Events in the Yorkshire Dales

New for this spring at The Devonshire Arms and The Fell Hotel is a series of seasonal supper club events, kicking off with a ‘Spring Awakening’ event at The Devonshire Arms on Thursday 5th March.

The supper clubs are ticketed events, which offer the opportunity to enjoy a sociable evening in the company of fellow diners. Share your appreciation of the delicious seasonal menus, mainly created with fresh produce from the estate, trusted local suppliers and the hotels’ own kitchen gardens, paired with carefully selected wines. Live background entertainment adds to the atmosphere of the evening. The series of themed supper club events will be a celebration of the seasonal and local produce sourced from the Bolton Abbey Estate.

The ‘Spring Awakening’ at The Devonshire Arms is the first in this series of events, and will be in held in The Garden Room. Highlights of the spring menu include heritage tomatoes and burrata, with basil oil, aged balsamic and pickled shallot; seared stone bass with jersey royal potatoes, asparagus and brown shrimp butter; and herb-crusted Herdwick lamb loin served with roasted heritage carrot and rosemary jus, followed by rhubarb and ginger crème brûlée as one dessert option.

Priced at £69 per person, this includes the following:

  • Canapés upon arrival
  • Three-course, seasonal, freshly prepared set menu, with two choices per course
  • Paired wines for each of the courses
  • Live entertainment for the evening with singer, Maria Watton-Graham

At The Fell Hotel, their inaugural supper club event will take place on Thursday 2nd April. Hosted in the Dalzell Room, this occasion will be a celebration of freshly-prepared Asian cuisine, which promises to be an inspired evening of exotic flavours and good conversation.

Dishes for this event include options such as crispy duck spring roll with hoisin and cucumber, Thai crab and sweetcorn fishcake with chilli jam and coriander, along with mains such as miso-glazed cod with pak choi, jasmine rice and ginger broth or Teriyaki chicken thigh with sesame noodles and charred tender stem broccoli, and one of the desserts being a tempting combination of dark chocolate and ginger tart served with yuzu ice cream.
