Barra Gallega Spanish Baguette

Pan Gallego is a traditional Spanish crusty bread originating from Galicia. It has a great rustic appeal. It is characterized by a soft and springy crumb with many air pockets and a hard crust, depending on the variety. The slightly irregular shape is a result of hand forming the dough. In artisan bakeries, it’s made with wheat flour or trigo Gallego (Galician wheat), a sourdough starter, salt, and large amount of water.
This traditional rustic bread with 500 years of history keeps fresh for longer thanks to its long fermentation. The lower salt content helps to keep the crispiness longer. It’s the perfect artisan bread!
Middle Eastern Hummus
Hummus is more than just a delicious snack, but a source of plant-based protein and nutrients. About 10 years ago, hummus could only be seen in oriental restaurants. Today, chickpea paste is present in the menu of European, Japanese and American cuisine. Healthy lifestyle proponents, vegans, vegetarians, athletes and many foodies love this versatile snack. Hummus is often used as a spread on toast, bread, snacks, and vegetables.
Maison d’Entremets create a perfect roasted red pepper hummus, plus other monthly seasonal specials. Hummus is a loved by the entire family and is an excellent source of protein, folate, vitamins B3 and B6, iron and potassium, for these reasons, hummus is a staple in our hampers.
French Pate

Thanks to the french chef Jean-Joseph Clause who is credited with creating and popularizing pâté de foie gras in 1779 we are able to enjoy a variety of flavours and varieties which have become a popular picnic treat. Pate does not only satisfy the tastebuds but there are many beneficial properties of pate including vitamin A, which improves vision and strengthens the immune system, B12, which is involved in blood formation, and iron.
The Maison d’Entremets selection includes Chicken and Duck pates, which are widely popular and compliment other tastes without overpowering the palette. Freshness is very important when it comes to pate, Maison d’Entremets does not add any preservatives or additives to their recipe so you can be assured that your pate is always freshly made just before your hamper is delivered.
Sergei’s Peanut Cream

A true The Maison d’Entremets creation and a must try. The peanut cream is an excellent substitute for peanut butter because it is obtained by using only 100% peanuts. Normally without adding either hydrogenated oils, refined sugars, or salt. Of course, the cream is much less dense, almost a liquid, but it is also much healthier and more nutritious.
The light texture and creamy taste of the peanut cream is versatile to use as a dessert during the picnic on the handmade breads. But this is also a treat to be tried with pancakes for breakfast or spread over cookies. Maison d’Entremets love this product so much that there are currently 3 different flavours to try: peanut and date, classic peanut and chocolate peanut. This can also be ordered alone so you can try all the flavours and keep stock of your favourites.
These luxury handmade hampers start from £45 with individual items available to order separately. See this week’s menu to discover the flavours and enjoy with your family and friends this weekend.
