Last month we introduced you to Dinnewell’s Gin, founded by husband-and-wife team Chris and Sarah Dinnewell during the lockdowns of 2020/21. This month we want to let you know from our own experience; just how delicious this range of gins are.
As a team here at H&N Magazine, it is no understatement to say we love gin! It is also no exaggeration to say that Dinnewell’s Gin is one of the best we have tasted – and that’s saying something! Many things ticked our boxes about award-winning Dinnewell’s Gin and not just because it’s made in Yorkshire. The presentation is beautiful, and the flavours are subtle, refreshing and moreish. These are the perfect gift for Christmas, so look no further.
We tried the London Gin – perfect for those who like their gin as it comes with no added flavour. Mixed with a quality tonic, ice and a slice of lime and we all agreed this was perfection in a glass.

The Orange and Ginger Old Tom and Yorkshire Rose will be loved by those who prefer flavoured gins. As a team, we split into both camps, and all agreed that these gins are exceptionally good. They will make great gifts with Christmas not far away, but not only Christmas, Dinnewell’s is perfect for birthdays, anniversaries and corporate gifts.
Sarah told us, “Dinnewell’s Gin is truly a family run business, everything we do and every decision we make revolves around our family life. The very reason the business has come to life is an unwavering drive to be able to support our two children and have the flexibility to provide them with everything they need.
At Dinnewell’s Gin everything we do is all about the personal touch. Whether it be hand picking signature botanicals such as the white rose in our Yorkshire Rosé, hand peeling and hand drying all our citrus botanicals, or now overseeing every single part of production, distilling on our 25 litre little still ‘Annie’. You can be sure that the utmost care and attention has been taken in ensuring that every drop of gin is absolutely perfect.”

Their new branding encapsulates this personal touch from top to bottom. The overall design of the bottle has a feeling of a stained-glass picture, with each element representative of either part of their gin journey or our journey as people and a family.
The stained-glass itself takes on huge significance to Chris and Sarah, as this was a strongly featured theme when the two of them were married. The love they share for each other is replicated in the care and attention they put into every aspect of their gin. We think anyone would love to receive a bottle as a gift for Christmas.
Sarah explained, “Starting at the top of the bottle, our new logo, the sideways rose. This bares a double representation. Firstly, the rose itself again played a hugely significant role in the theme at our wedding but also Rose is the name of our youngest child. You will notice the rose features prominently in our overall design.
Secondly, the rose is sideways to make it look like the letter D, representing our family and gin name.
Our oldest child is also featured heavily within our design in the form of the many rainbows you can see. Jack is on the Autism spectrum with the rainbow representing the many variations and challenges within that, but at the same time also representing the light he shines upon our lives.

The final main element of our design is the leaf. At Dinnewell’s Gin we feel it is vitally important that we use sustainable products and methods wherever we can. This is why our bottle is 100% either re-cyclable or easily compostable, and we don’t use any plastic in packaging when sending orders. Our bottle manufacturers and printers have also been carefully selected to try and keep our carbon footprint as low as possible. The bottles travel less than 80 miles from initial production to being filled with gin in our kitchen. We feel that this commitment is vitally important to who we are as people, but also a continuation of the commitment to creating the highest quality product in the most sustainable way. “
Dinnewell’s range of gins has 3 core flavours:
Firstly, the London Dry. A truly handcrafted spirit made with 12 botanicals including: Pink Grapefruit, Orange, Vanilla and Cardamom. Creating a modern, elegant Juniper forward Gin. Bold citrus flavours balanced with a smooth warming texture.
Secondly, The Yorkshire Rosè. Inspired by the flavours of Provence, The Yorkshire Rosè is crafted with White Rose, Hibiscus and strawberries, to create a complex well balanced gin. A hint of sweetness balanced with delicate floral and herbaceous flavours.
Lastly the Orange and Ginger Old Tom. The orange and ginger old tom delivers a burst of tangy orange flavour, with a hint of vanilla and a warming ginger finish. Sweetened with our homemade orange and ginger syrup.

We say – the bottle is impressive but wait until you taste the gin! Dinnewell’s Gins are the perfect gift for Christmas.
