Do you have a usual place that you visit for pizza, are you ready to switch it up? Pizza Punks is the ideal spot for you to enjoy something a little different and unique.
When we say unique, that’s exactly what we mean. Our writer, Rachel McAlley recently visited Pizza Punks in Leeds to try out their all new Punk’d up Punk Special, here’s what she thought.
Once inside Pizza Punks, I noticed plenty of neon signs saying ‘Come as you are’ and ‘Ever fallen in love with someone’, this pizza joint is like no other. A menu that offers things like a Late Night Pizza Party, Punk Sodas, and CheapDate Mondays, is definitely nothing I’ve seen before.

Presented with the menu we ordered Buffalo Wings with garlic ranch, and Buffalo Wings with blue cheese and celery as sides, and our mains were a simple Margherita Pizza, and the Punk Special, PrawnStar Martini Pizza.
Not really a celery fan I couldn’t believe I had ordered celery with both my main and my side! The wings were exceptionally good, plenty of meat and the hot sauce was so good. The celery and blue cheese were the perfect accompaniment. So far so good, especially for someone who isn’t that into celery.
The One And Only Pizza Punks
The wings with ranch were divine, and the margherita was devoured by my daughter, which is always a good sign. The absolute star of the show though was the Punk Special Pizza. What an incredible set of flavours, it’s one that you should definitely try before it leaves the menu.

Let’s break down the PrawnStar Martini because it was one of the most exciting pizzas I have had in a long time. San Franciscan sourdough pizza base topped with Sauce Shop buffalo hot sauce (infused with house vodka), yes that’s correct infused with vodka. Delish! Is your mouth watering yet? Equally delicious was the mozzarella, butterflied prawns, ranch cream cheese (infused with Sauce Shop ranch mayo), chilli flakes, chives, and pickled celery on top. A proper Punk’d up pizza.
The pizza sounds so simple when you say it out loud, but those flavours were another level tasty. Who would have thought hot sauce, prawns and cream cheese could work in harmony like they do on this pizza?
