Innovative, contemporary Chinese fusion food, beautiful surroundings, impeccable service and a uniquely exciting dining experience always awaits at Tattu Leeds.
Even so, the launch of their impressive Imperial Sunday Roast was to yet again exceed all expectations! Their captivating twist on what is a traditionally British family meal is nothing short of genius. It’s a feast for the eyes and the belly and is designed to be shared with those you love most.
We had our appetite and senses well and truly indulged with a thoughtfully curated trio of dishes that totally redefine the Sunday dining experience.

What we had:
We kicked off the proceedings with our favourite Tattu Cocktails; Crouching Tiger – Roku Gin, tequila and pink grapefruit and their largest selling Skull Candy – Crystal Head Vodka is combined with a homemade bubble-gum syrup to create a drink that emulates liquid candy. The Skull Candy is too sweet for me but that Crouching Tiger – phwoar!

On to the pièce de résistance…
Aromatic roast duck: succulent duck seasoned with fragrant spices and offering everything you want from the perfect duck dish, really delicious and juicy. Pure perfection when added to the fluffy steamed bao buns and pancakes.
Chinese barbeque chicken: subtly flavoured with chilli and sweet soy. This was a real surprise and had a lovely little kick. Unexpectedly delicious.
Char Siu Pork: marinated and roasted in Tattu’s signature Char Siu sauce. This is a favourite of ours and we were really pleased to see it included in this menu. The salty, sweet contrast with a hint of spice is pure joy.

We also chose to add an extra meat dish of Caramel Soy Beef Fillet (£10pp extra), because it sounded so good. This was a great decision and added another delicious dimension to the meal.
Complementing these mains are an array of side dishes: soft and fluffy steamed buns, steamed pancakes, fresh and vibrant Pak choi, crispy shallots and ginger and salt and pepper roast potatoes prepared to perfection with garlic, chilli and five -spice. I begged for the recipe for those roast potatoes!
Fear not vegetarians, you have Satay Cauliflower and Mock Caramel Soy Beef Fillet on the menu which also looked superb.

To conclude your Tattu journey on a sweet note, you can choose from the delightful Asian Pear Sticky Toffee Pudding, infused with cinnamon and vanilla. Alternatively, enjoy the White Chocolate Dragon Egg with coconut, passion fruit and mango. From experience we know that both are great choices, however, although my dining partner chose the sublime Asian Sticky Toffee Pudding, (of course I shared!), I opted for the iconic Cherry Blossom Dessert, a blend of white chocolate, cherry, and candyfloss that comes with full dry ice magic. Available on the main menu.
Conclusion
What a spectacular was to enjoy Sunday a little differently and embrace the traditional approach of sharing dishes. This is another wonderful sensory journey at Tattu and we highly recommend you book to avoid disappointment.
